Isaac Mizrahi, Live on QVC!
Isaac Mizrahi is a busy man. In addition to designing for Liz Claiborne, his own namesake line, and hosting The Fashion Show, he found time to create a collection for QVC. The line, named Isaac Mizrahi Live, will include a bevy of clothing, accessories, footwear, and even housewares.
The Fashion Show Can't Beat Project Runway in the Ratings
I gave Bravo's The Fashion Show the ol' college try, but the show just hasn't pulled me in — and a lot of you aren't sold, either. So you might not be shocked to learn that so far, The Fashion Show hasn't been stepping into Project Runway's big shoes in terms of ratings.
Runway finished off its Bravo run last year averaging four million viewers an episode; thus far, The Fashion Show is averaging under one million viewers.
Are You Still Watching The Fashion Show?
I gave Bravo's The Fashion Show a shot. I really did. I watched for two episodes, and while I didn't love it, I still gave it a DVR subscription, hoping it would eventually get better.

We're two episodes into Bravo's new reality show, The Fashion Show, and I'm curious — are you watching? I said it before and I still think: though the designers aren't as talented as the ones on Project Runway, the show is entertaining and I like the live audience aspect. Did you give Bravo's new show The Fashion Show a chance? I did and overall I thought it was amusing. The caliber of designers isn't the most impressive, but I loved the live audience aspect.
Will You Give Bravo's Fashion Show a Chance?
Bravo's The Fashion Show isn't Project Runway, but for at least the first few episodes, I imagine I'll be constantly comparing the two in my mind. The show premieres tonight, and the format will be pretty familiar to ProjRun fans: a bunch of aspiring designers go through various fashion-related challenges, hoping to win the chance for their line to be sold in stores.
Besides the name, there definitely are a few differences between this show and Runway: Each show has two challenges, Top Chef-style; the audience at each episode's runway show has a say in who goes home; and in the end, viewers will determine the ultimate champion.
The Fashion Show Will Sew Rock Your TV
Project Runway moving to Lifetime may have seemed like a loss for Bravo at first, but after watching the preview videos for its new reality show, The Fashion Show, that couldn't be further from the truth. The hammer has fallen. The never-ending fight over Project Runway has finally settled in favor of Lifetime. A big loss for Bravo but the network isn't going to cry over spilled milk.
Bravo Moves Into Spring With The Fashion Show
No Project Runway? No problem — or at least that's what Bravo's hoping now that it's setting its schedule for Spring. The Fashion Show will attempt to take over the Runway-shaped hole in our hearts when it premieres May 7.
