When we heard International Herald Tribune fashion writer Suzy Menkes was going to speak at the Academy of Art University San Francisco, we decided we must get ourselves there, even though technically we're not students. But really — isn't one always a student of fashion? I think so .

We all agree Stephanie Seymour has a perfect bod, and OK, I don't hate her, but did you know she can write too? She interviewed Lanvin's Alber Elbaz for Interview magazine — whom I happen to be intrigued by, he's so discrete yet so opinionated — and you can see what I mean by their chat over soup. There was lots of action amidst the rain at last night's NYC premiere of Grey Gardens. A couple fashion designers attended the fabulous event — Peter Som and Jason Wu — and we had the chance to chat it up with designer-of-the-moment Wu, here with model Hilary Rhoda in his design.
He spoke of his most famous fan, Michelle Obama, and on a more serious note, about managing in this ever-worsening economy.

Geri Halliwell is currently busy promoting her line of children's books across the UK, but she found some time this weekend to talk about her personal style to The Independent. Geri's most famous style moment has to be that infamous Union Jack dress at the Brit Awards in 1997. However, there's one style moment which Ginger Spice isn't so proud of, "I wish I'd never worn an American flag motif swimsuit to the MTV Awards when I was in the Spice Girls.

House of Harlow continues to be a big priority in Nicole Richie's life these days. The gorgeous mommy recently opened up to Shopbop about the line and when she knew she wanted to be a designer: "I always loved jewelry, and when I was young I made friendship bracelets for my friends. I guess you could say my designing started then."
