There are a lot of girly pieces on the High Street right now. From pastel shades to pretty ruffles, you're sure to find something fun and feminine. I love the colours on this Diane von Furstenberg miniskirt (£425).

It doesn't have to be this colourful though, there are plenty of black options too. Topshop Boutique has a great ruffled version (£60) which would be fun for a night out. Do you like ruffled skirts?

Trend Alert: Skater Skirt

This season's hottest skirt has to be the skater style. It was seen on the catwalk at Proenza Schouler (and has since been rocked by Kristen Stewart). The Proenza Schouler version (£432) is not affordable to all, but of course the High Street has some alternatives.

Topshop have some gorgeous styles including this floral version (£25) and a similar shape in animal print (£25). You can wear now with thick tights and later with bare legs and sandals.

Trend Alert: Printed Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans are getting a jazzy makeover for Spring 2010 as they begin to rival leggings in terms of patterns. Skinny jeans and jeggings are now adorned with floral and animal prints providing a new twist on the wardrobe staple.

You can chose between a bright, statement pair like Peter Jensen's floral style (£140), or go for something more subtle like Topshop's grey floral pair (£45).

I really like rose print pair (£35) from Miss Selfridge's Spring collection. How about you, will you be wearing printed skinnies this season?

Trend Alert: Bra Top

Underwear is taking centre stage this season as it becomes one of Spring's hottest looks. Underwear as outerwear might sound scary, but it's not as daunting as it first seems. Underwear is bigger so don't think of this look as being outside in a lacy bra and thong!

One of the key items for this trend is a bra top which is like a mix between a bra and a corset. These have been spotted on the catwalk layered under structure jackets and teamed with high waisted trousers therefore revealing minimum flesh.

The High Street has now taken on the look meaning you can get one for just £20. Are you convinced of this trend yet?

Trend Alert: Minimal Makeup

Bin the blush girls! John Galliano may have sent bold makeup extravaganzas down the runway at the weekend, but elsewhere there's a rival trend emerging: Minimalism. The Autumn shows, have been filled with bare, fresh faced looks using subtle makeup touches. Makeup at Stella McCartney and Emmanuel Ungaro was girly and natural. At Balmain, makeup artist Tom Pecheux created an understated natural look with nude shades. It was a similar vibe at Dries Van Noten where models wore barely-there makeup.

The trend started as far back as the New York's shows. At The Row, makeup artist Aaron de Mey for Lancôme worked a "noncosmetics looking" style for the fresh faced models. London rocked it too, with both Matthew Williamson, Julien Macdonald and Burberry Prorsum projecting an effortless "no makeup" aesthetic. Trend Alert: Kooky Hair Colours

This week, bright rainbow hair colours have been everywhere, from celebrity land to the catwalk. Yesterday, on the Paris catwalks Manish Arora sent out technicolour hairstyles in blue, piercing red and yellow. On the same day in London, the Sugarbabes' Amelle Berrabah appeared with blue streaks in her hair, whilst Kelly Osbourne has dyed her hair lavender. Lady Gaga has gone one step further though, turning her hair sunshine yellow and candy pink. Perhaps its the excitement at Spring, who knows! What do you think? Trend Alert: Eyelet Bags

Accessories are taking a retro turn this Spring as a new form of embellishment helps to give bags an '80s feel. Eyelets are appearing on many different shapes and colours of bags from sleek clutches at Jimmy Choo (£487) to bigger totes (£723) at Marni.

The trend is taking the High Street by storm too with duffle (£30) and shopper styles (£24). How do you feel about this type of accessory?

2010 Autumn Trend Alert: Sheepskin

London Fashion Week introduced a couple of new trends which are sure to dominate the High Street and boutiques come September. Although we haven't even entered Spring yet, it doesn't hurt to look ahead and see what will be filling our wardrobes for the colder months. This Autumn, sheepskin is going to be the key fabric after it's appearance on the catwalk at Burberry and Topshop Unique. At Burberry, it fitted in perfectly with the aviation theme where as at Topshop it was fluffier and created a cosier feel and it was also used on accessories. How do you feel about the use of this fabric?
