Last night in Hollywood, Jessica Simpson attended the Extraordinary Measures premiere donning an over-the-top teased hairstyle with wispy side-swept fringe in the front. The back, in true 60's fashion was fastened into a modified small twist that sat just under the hefty fullness. This look is classic, yet it teeters on quite mature and overdone.

With all of the hoopla surrounding Christmas and New Year's, I completely forgot to ask you what you think of Ashlee Simpson's new, old hair colour. I remember Ash as a blonde from her 7th Heaven days, but since then she's gone from black to brown to deep red. I absolutely love the colour, the length and the loose, relaxed waves that frame her beaming smile.

After I get out of the bath or shower, I lotion up, add product to my hair and then I let it air dry a bit whilst I start on my makeup. But after talking with some friends, I've noticed that they're pretty evenly split between applying their makeup first and drying their hair first. A few weeks ago in LA, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz was spotted leaving Senna Cosmetics after getting a makeover and buying some products. I've been a fan of Senna since a friend introduced me to them a few years ago, and I swear by their mineral mix powder, tinted moisturiser and sheer lipsticks. Even though the company has a website (and they ship to the UK — thank goodness), it's not likely that unless you're a die-hard makeup junkie that you'd be familiar with the brand.

The celebrity fragrance trend isn't letting up anytime soon, and 2009 was a banner year for famous faces wanting to spread their scents around town. Some of my favourites include Vintage from Kate Moss, the succulent Daphne by Daphne Guinness, Paris Hilton's sixth scent called Siren, Halle by Halle Berry, the romantic sequel to Fancy called Fancy Love by Jessica Simpson, In Bloom from Reese Witherspoon, the day and night duo from Pamela Anderson called Malibu Pink and Malibu Blue, and J.Lo My Glow from Jennifer Lopez which was inspired by her children. Out of these eight alluring aromas, which one do you like most?

Everything from highly concentrated serums, to lip plumpers, safe forms of botulism injections we've come to know as botox, makeup made from pure minerals, meat preservatives that can be used to make your skin look tan, at home teeth whiteners and laser hair removal have become accessible to us. This has certainly been a banner and exciting decade to be a beauty junkie!
