Best of 2008: On Trend Item
The Christmas season is a great time to clear out your wardrobe but which trend items of 2008 will you carry through to 2009? I asked you which on trend item was your favourite this year and you voted for the plaid shirt. Worn by the likes of Lauren Conrad and Kimberly Stewart the shirt looks great with jeans for a casual daytime look.

So you've probably already taken my word for it that tartan is a trend and have seen it emerge on the High Street but when you get the items home, how do you actually wear it? Well I have taken on the task for you!
I picked a tulip shaped check skirt (£15) from Dorothy Perkins which I particularly liked because of the unusual shape.

Plaid shirts (aka tartan) are all the rage this Autumn/Winter. They're warm, comfortable and they look terrific with skinny jeans or cords. Celebrities such as Lauren Conrad from MTV's hit show The Hills has been spotted in three different plaid tops this season alone.

Love it or Hate it: Kimberly Stewart in Tartan
Celebrity hairdresser James Brown celebrated his birthday yesterday surrounded by his London based party girls. The likes of Kate Moss, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Jo Wood partied at Volstead last night. But it was Kimberly Stewart who caught my fashion eye as she wore a brightly coloured tartan shirt dress for the occasion.

Which Heritage Trend Do You Prefer?

Autumn Glimpse: Tartan Heels
We already told you about Autumn's love affair with tartan and Fab US has noticed a trend for zip-detail heels so imagine my excitement when I heard about these two-trend heels.
Aldo, which is a bit of an unsung hero of the shoe world produce on trend heels season-on-season and it seems this Autumn is no exception.
These heels have been picked by Elle UK as an Autumn must have and at just £70 I am inclined to agree.
