With the help of these smoky eye shadow palettes, getting that sultry, come-and-get-me eye makeup look has never been easier. All you have to do is blend the lightest colour just under the brow bone, use the second lightest shade all over the lid (stop at the crease), add the medium dark shadow to the crease (remembering to blend well) and you can deepen the crease and line your eyes with the darkest shadow. See, it's a cinch!

A sultry Kylie Minogue was sharing her style secrets at William Baker's B Boy Underwear launch in London last night. Kylie opted for a rocker-chick look of smoky eyes, silver earrings and a black leather jacket. I love her eye makeup which is dramatic without being too bold, and the shimmery grey shade really picks up the green colour of her eyes.

We've already seen various leading ladies on the red carpet from the SAG Awards wearing pink lipstick, and the second most popular shade of the night was nude. It ranged from sheer rose to creamy beige, but paired with a smoky eye and tanned skin, the shiny shade is universally flattering. Here are six different versions of the ever-popular nude lip that we see pictured on Sandra Bullock, Penelope Cruz, Drew Barrymore, Mariah Carey, Christina Hendricks and Glee's Lea Michelle.

On Saturday evening, the hottest actresses from film and television gathered in Hollywood for the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The ladies looked elegant and lovely strutting down the red carpet with updo's, loose waves and perfect makeup. I noticed that practically everyone's eyes were lined in some version of black or navy, and shadow was either neutral or smoky, but what changed the most when it came to their cosmetics was lipstick.

This short style suits Reese's heart-shaped face and her do looked sophisticated without appearing overly old-fashioned.

Mischa Barton, Rosamund Pike and Peaches Geldof witnessed the Temperley show at London 2009 Spring Fashion Week yesterday. The designer showed beautifully structured jackets, high-waist trousers, red-carpet worthy draped dresses, ruffled gowns and gorgeous asymmetrical cocktail frocks.
The beauty mood was dramatic as the models sported high-voltage smoky eyes in dark grey, stormy purple and coal black.
