Happy Feet — Sparkle From Your Toes in Embellished Sandals

With the weather starting to warm up this Spring, celebrities are bringing bling to their bare feet in embellished sandals.

With the weather starting to warm up this Spring, celebrities are bringing bling to their bare feet in embellished sandals. At the weekend, Kate Middleton brought out her favourite Jimmy Choo Vamp Sandals (£484) once more for an Olympics concert. A few days earlier at the Met Gala in New York, British singer Florence Welch wore Alexander McQueen embroidered armadillo heel sandals and Kate Bosworth wore a pair of Miu Miu Crystal-Embellished Suede Sandals (£650). Embellishments range from crystals, studs and sequins to tassels and beads, and aren't just reserved for high heels but are popping up on flats too. Shop my selection of embellished sandals available at My-Wardrobe.com and tell me which style is most fab!

Trend Alert: Nude Sandals

Everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari love wearing nude thong sandals in the Summertime.

Everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari love wearing nude thong sandals in the Summertime. This trend happens to be a great investment too, as nude shoes go with everything. Low, thong sandals are super easy to wear, they're comfortable, breathable and they actually don't even need to be expensive if you can find yourself a bargain.

I've been eyeing these nude suede platform sandals with a cork wedge heel from K. Jacques St. Tropez, but they are sold out everywhere I go — even online! Shop some more adorable nude sandals below and let me know which pair you fancy most.

Trend Alert: Nude Heeled Sandals

Nude heel have made a big impact this season as natural tones have been affecting our whole wardrobes.

Nude heel have made a big impact this season as natural tones have been affecting our whole wardrobes. However, it's nude sandals which have particularly caught my eye. They're the subtlest of footwear only being drawn to our attention with a few buckles, bows or ribbons.

There are plenty of different nude sandals currently available, but I have fallen for the charm of Kurt Geiger's Hero (£85) heels which would look great with a floaty Summer dress. I also really like Balenciaga's cone (£555) sling backs which I would wear with cropped tailored trousers.

Trend Alert: Jewelled Sandals

Have you decided which shoes you're wearing this Summer?

Have you decided which shoes you're wearing this Summer? With so many great sandals out there, it can be difficult to decide, especially with an increasing amount of sparkly footwear!

New Look at ShopStyle

Whilst shopping around I've noticed many gladiator-inspired jeweled shoes for next season. This is a great way to add a touch of glamour to your wardrobe. Below are some of my favourite pairs available now. I particularly love French Connection's metallic Polly style (£29) or Carvela's Kimberly (£85) pair. Which are your favourites?

Trend Alert: Fringed Sandals

If the thought of revealing your ankles this Summer is enough to put you off wearing sandals or exposing your legs then fashion might just be on your side!
Topshop at ShopStyle

If the thought of revealing your ankles this Summer is enough to put you off wearing sandals or exposing your legs then fashion might just be on your side! This Summer I have noticed a lot of fringed flat sandals on offer which offer a hiding place for your ankles.

If you're a fan of moccasin boots, then these are a great Summer alternative and I can imagine Kate Moss rocking a pair. You could try teaming them with cut offs and a rock band t-shirt for a great festival look.

I particularly like Steve Madden's Hippster style (£70), which would look great with denim. I also like the studding detail on Topshop's Hugo sandal (£22), what do you think of this Summer shoe?

Trend Alert: Gladiator Sandals

It may feel like gladiator sandals pop up as a Summer time trend as regularly as knitwear appears in winter, but this season they come in more shapes and sizes than ever.

It may feel like gladiator sandals pop up as a Summer time trend as regularly as knitwear appears in winter, but this season they come in more shapes and sizes than ever.

Whether you opt for a metallic pair, sandals emblazoned with jewels or a statement knee high style this is an item that you're sure to give in to. This year they appeared on the catwalk at Balenciaga, Miu Miu and Burberry but plenty of cheaper styles are now available on the High Street.

If you've got long legs then you could easily pull off an ankle high pair or knee high if you're feeling daring, for those with shorter legs opt for a lower pair which will be more flattering. You can team with a maxi dress (as seen here on Rachel Bilson) or with a playsuit (as seen on Sienna Miller).

See below for some options available from as little as £14!

Trend Alert: Eco Sandals

Eco fashion may start at Stella McCartney but it doesn't end there!

Eco fashion may start at Stella McCartney but it doesn't end there! Over the past few years many eco fashion shops have opened offering ethical footwear that doesn't result in a sacrifice in style.

There is a great price range too, previously it was an area where you could only buy super expensive pairs (see Stella McCartney) but now you can get a great pair for as little as £32. The Cri de Coeur gladiator sandals are a fantastic bright alternative to the traditional leather shoes. Terra Plana heels are eye catching and super comfortable. Why not celebrate Earth Day with a pair of environmentally friendly sandals?

Fabworthy: New Look Patent Sandals

Peep-toe sandals are hard to wear in the current climate as you need tights and people are always left divided as to whether that's acceptable!

Peep-toe sandals are hard to wear in the current climate as you need tights and people are always left divided as to whether that's acceptable! However, if you are to attempt to wear sandals then darker colours are definitely advisable. I love patent heels, I think they make black heels more interesting and appealing which is why these patent sandals are great.

The best thing about them is probably their tiny price tag of just £20! The cross over strap detail is great for appearing to shorten your feet if you have quite big feet. Pick up a pair now before they sell out.

Do you Wear Tights with Open-Toe Shoes?

Seems like the cold weather might never let up here in the UK but my feet are itching to get out of boots and in to some fun summer shoes.

Seems like the cold weather might never let up here in the UK but my feet are itching to get out of boots and in to some fun summer shoes. However, tights with opened toed shoes can end up looking a little bit weird, so we reach a dilemma. To wait until it is actually warm enough to venture out without tights (what if this never happens?!) or to deal with tights and shoes. What do you think, do you wear tights with open toe shoes?
