Last night at the TCA AMC cocktail reception in California, actress January Jones arrived in a cutesy black-bow frock with her hair styled in a chic coif and perfectly flawless makeup. January always looks amazing, but I like how her makeup isn't too overdone here. With some filler on her brows, a dewy base, a touch of black liner, mascara and finally a tomato red lipstick, this siren makes getting red carpet ready look as easy as pie!

Anne Hathaway looked simply stunning at the London Film Festival last night wearing a midnight blue frock to the premiere of Rachel Getting Married. Her makeup looked typically glamorous with an emphasis on her bold brows and a perfect pout.
Anne kept her hair looking glossy yet slightly tousled to give a more relaxed feel.

Grunge goth beauty was never supposed to be about the money, so what's with this season's Glam Goth makeup looks (not to mention clothes, thanks Luella) costing so much? I'm not one for scrimping and saving on makeup, but as we are sliding into a recession it makes sense to worry our pretty little heads about prices, every now and then.
Cue my credit crunch-friendly pick of the best products to get autumn/winter's soft goth look, on the cheap.

So it appears that the rumours have turned out to be true. Whether you love or hate her ad – it's official; Giselle is the new face of Max Factor.
The iconic makeup brand will be 100 next year, and to mark their anniversary the famous Brazilian super will be pouting and preening in their ads.

This Spring/Summer the catwalks were awash with ultra modern makeup looks, from theatrical glitter, to bursts of bright colour. The trend we all actually want to wear though, is going by the name of Rustic Romance. Think fierce, bold brows, rust eye shadow shades and gently blushed cheeks.

Eyes awash with all shades of purple, from the stormiest plum, to the lightest lilac, stormed the catwalks – setting a darker, more sultry mood for autumn/winter.
Christian Dior, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton and John Galliano all fell for this alluring look that is part vamp, part pretty.
I know it's still the middle of summer, but this is a great trans-seasonal trend to start practicing now, so you can wow them with your violet eyes come September.

That just-in-love glow or morning-after flush aside, in most cases we're used to faking it. Nothing adds a dose of instant prettiness like a daub of cream blush and now Max Factor have heard our prayers and come up with their first cream blush for that covetable fresh-faced look.
According to make up artist Caroline Barnes, this ‘super-natural’ look is a key beauty trend for Autumn/Winter 2008.

Last night in Los Angeles at the Herve Leger By Max Azaria Spring Collection Preview Party, blonde singer Leona Lewis posed on the red carpet with shiny, tick straight hair. Typically we see Leona with voluminous sculpted waves or tight curls, but this look is sleek and I think also quite chic. Which hairstyle do you like best on this X Factor winner?
