Diane Kruger appeared at Venice Film Festival last week as she promoted her latest movie Mr. Nobody. She wore one of my favourite ensembles of the festival teaming a gorgeous Christopher Kane frock with some killer heels. The black suede ankle boots are part of Yves Saint Laurent's Autumn collection and are aptly named Divine ($895, about £540).

The last series of X Factor saw me paying more attention to Cheryl Cole's wardrobe than any of the acts. She worked her way through a wardrobe of Matthew Williamson and Julien Macdonald which left many viewers green with envy. The new season hasn't started yet, but Dannii and Cheryl have already been busy at auditions and the Girls Aloud singer's wardrobe has not disappointed!

Christian Louboutin has been on speed dial for glamorous red carpet events for several seasons. His sexy heels have adorned the feet of many leading ladies, but this season it's a key pair of his shoes which have been popular on both sides of the Atlantic. The Differa (£755) first landed on my radar when Heidi Klum wore them to the Golden Globes at the start of the year.

This season everyone has fallen for Christophe Decarnin's designing charm. His rock chick pieces have influenced many, but with jeans for around £1000, not everyone can afford the real thing.
These Balmain studded and crystal sandals ($2,300) have been particularly popular despite the price tag.

Gladiator sandals have taken a step up this season as they're higher than ever and adorned with studs to give a rock chick edge.
High end designers like Louis Vuitton and Jimmy Choo have led the way with this trend as platform shoes are accessorised with tassels, metallic detailing, buckles and back zips.
River Island have a great take on this style with these tassle front gladiator sandals (£69.99).
