Found: Serena van der Woodsen's Beaded Dress
The new season of Gossip Girl has begun on ITV2 as our favourite Upper East Siders get to grips with college life. Following an eventful Summer, Serena decided to defer her place at Browns to stick around in the city hanging out with Blair, Chuck and Dan. In this week's episode, her relationship with Carter was under scrutiny, but she didn't let that effect her style!

The stars of Gossip Girl were busy filming in New York earlier this week. Blake Lively and Leighton Meester were on set working their characters style. Blake/Serena stayed true to her rock chick style with skinny jeans, a leather jacket and knee high boots, but it's her bag which caught my eye.

The 2009 Primetime Emmy's took place last night celebrating some of the biggest names on the small screen. Amongst those on the red carpet were Gossip Girl stars Leighton Meester and Blake Lively. Both girls have always had very different styles and last night was no exception as Leighton wore a long white gown and Blake went for a red number.
Which Lipstick Do You Like Most On Taylor Momsen?
Last night at the Gossip Girl inspired clothing collection launch for Anna Sui in New York City, Taylor Momsen walked the red carpet with her ultra-long hair extensions and brick red lipstick. I like a bright lip on Little J, but I feel like the pink shade on the far right is a bit more flirty and age appropriate for the sweet sixteen year old. I also think the pale gloss works, but it doesn't make her eyes pop quite like the other colours.

The second series of Gossip Girl came to a close last night on UK TV as our favourite seniors graduated and began plans for the Summer and the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, Serena couldn't consider leaving High School until she'd brought down Gossip Girl, and Blair wanted closure on her feelings towards Chuck once and for all. It was a seemingly conclusive episode, but a hint of Georgina and the introduction of a new male character provides a brief insight in to the third season.

Lily was contemplating her decision to get Serena arrested and began thinking about her own youth in LA. As the series comes near to the end, they have upped the ante for Gossip Girl! Last week's drama continued as the gang teamed together to fight Poppy Lifton and her scam. This weeks episode of Gossip Girl was chock full of great one liners, awesome hairstyles and of course, clothing and accessories. Nate and Blair are still going strong, however, it's upsetting to see he and Chuck arguing over a girl. Serena, Lily and Rufus get schemed by Gabriel, and Georgina Sparks is back to spice things up, even though the Upper East Side is never dull!

Last night's episode of Gossip Girl saw the return of Serena from her wild trip to Spain and she has a secret to share (of course) which requires a spot of legal help. I wonder if these kids ever go to school as Nate struggles with his newly rekindled relationship with Blair and she becomes a wedding crasher. Meanwhile, the Humphreys financial woes continue so Dan decides to take the matter in to his own hands which lands him a little closer to home than he anticipated.
