The cast of Harry Potter are busy promoting the latest movie around the world right now following the London premiere. Last night, Emma appeared on David Letterman in New York City where she sported two different looks. She arrived in a polka dot dress with pink and black brogues, but soon changed in to a Christopher Kane frock and Charlotte Olympia heels.

So you've probably already taken my word for it that tartan is a trend and have seen it emerge on the High Street but when you get the items home, how do you actually wear it? Well I have taken on the task for you!
I picked a tulip shaped check skirt (£15) from Dorothy Perkins which I particularly liked because of the unusual shape.

Mary Jane shoes used to be reserved for little girls but add a heel to them and you've got one of the most famous styles of shoes currently available! Alongside brogues, Mary Jane shoes are a wardrobe staple and so versatile.
They're defined as, 'a kind of strap shoe or sandal that typically has low heels, broad and rounded closed toes, and a single-buckle strap across the instep and/or around the ankle.'

The ever stylish Marion Cotillard attended the Dior show at Paris Fashion Week yesterday alongside the likes of Lily Allen and Emma Watson. She kept her ensemble simple yet chic with a grey knee-length, high-neck dress and a quilted purse. I fell for her outfit when I spotted the gorgeous monochrome brogue Mary Jane heels.

The inspiration for Peter Jensen for Spring 2009 wasn't exactly a secret. The show was titled 'Jodie' and the collection contained many references to Jodie Foster's onscreen '80s style. Taking lead from films like The Hotel New Hampshire and The Accused this collection included '80s preppy style with high-waisted mini skirts, oversized blazers and plenty of grey sweater sportswear.

Pussy bow blouses are the ultimate in androgynous style taking the best elements of a men's tailored shirt and adding a soft feminine, playful touch with a neck-bow. This style featured on the catwalk for Autumn/Winter at Fendi and D&G. Dolce & Gabbana gave a heritage twist to the blouse with a plaid print.

If you're sale shopping this month then be sure to look out for a bubble skirt. The unusual shape item is great for the Summer if you team with gladiator sandals and then even better in the winter with tights and brogues.
They appeared on the catwalk at Miu Miu and PPQ to name but a few.
