These stunning famous faces are hot commodities in the endorsement marketplace. They are so highly sought after that beauty brands are willing to cough up quite a lot of dosh to have them sign as their spokesmodels. We've seen the adverts for Anna Sui starring Agyness Deyn, and how can we forget the stir that Cheryl Cole's hair extensions caused in her L'Oreal haircare campaign?

Last Thursday it was announced that Parfums Givenchy has chosen actress and former model Uma Thurman, to be their newest spokesmodel. She will join the ranks of other Givenchy famous faces such as Lou Doillon, Liv Tyler, Marie Steiss and the sexy Justin Timberlake.
The ad campaign, which is planned to launch to the international press in June and then to the European public this September, is rumoured to eventually appear stateside in early 2010.

Admit it. Even if you're aren't a self-proclaimed nail biter, from time to time, your nerves get the best of you and you attack your claws like corn on the cob. There's nothing to be ashamed of, because believe it or not, 50% of people between the ages of 10 and 18 bite their nails.

One of my favourite natural beauty brands, Ren, has just announced plans to expand. According to WWD, the brand, which is apparently also a favourite of Uma Thurman, is introducing a moisturising facial serum in 2009, as well as a line for children.
“We have loads in the pipeline,” Ren co-founder Antony Buck told WWD, “We’ve been very encouraged by the performance of the brand in Australia, where it’s growing very fast.”
Just last month the gorgeous, and inaugural, Ren-designed department store counter was launched in Harvey Nichols in Manchester.

Nope, I didn't see this one coming either. Wasn't sure who would grace the July cover of UK Vogue but Uma Thurman is definitely an unexpected star.
It's an unusual choice of colours for a Summer cover but it certainly reflects the current colour of the sky.

I'm a huge fan Cult Beauty. The company was launched by self-confessed beauty geek Alexia Inge and Jessica Moore in 2008 and has since built a fabulous reputation for its edit of unbeatable beauty products, frank advice, and flurry of unusual independent brands.
It's always ahead of the curve in terms of the latest beauty innovations, too.

Well at least I have one thing in common with Uma Thurman. Like the long-limbed actress I share a love of skincare brand Ren and am a true devotee of their shower creams and body lotions in particular. As a complete body lotion addict anyway, it's no surprise then that I'm head-over-heels about Ren's Damask Rose Body Cream, (£24.50).

While we're basking in the tongue-in-cheek quirkiness of the 80's revival, (think scrunchies and big hair) the 90's renaissance is creeping up on us slowly but surely. Take The Wackness for example, or the recent comeback of 90's supermodels Linda Evangelista (the new face of Prada) and Claudia Schiffer who is fronting the Chanel campaign this season.
The Soft Goth look, which is essentially an 80's style, was revived in the 90's with bands like the Nine Inch Nails.
