Trend Alert: Silk T-shirts
This season fashion is returning to grown up glamour as the colour palette is more subdued, fabrics are more luxurious and the focus is on statement pieces rather than trend driven items. However, this grown up feel has also been applied to sportswear which is traditionally slouchy and comfortable which results in sporty pieces in luxurious fabrics.
One of these pieces is the silk t-shirt which is increasingly appearing on the catwalk and on the High Street.

There are a lot of girly pieces on the High Street right now. From pastel shades to pretty ruffles, you're sure to find something fun and feminine. I love the colours on this Diane von Furstenberg miniskirt (£425).
Five Hot Beauty Trends for Autumn 2010
Paris Fashion Week has now come to a close and I'm seeing some core beauty trends. All over the catwalks and red carpet this season, similar themes have been emerging, whether it's a lined Cat's eye here, or a retro updo there. Check out my slideshow to get ahead on the latest beauty news.
Trend Alert: Skater Skirt
This season's hottest skirt has to be the skater style. It was seen on the catwalk at Proenza Schouler (and has since been rocked by Kristen Stewart). The Proenza Schouler version (£432) is not affordable to all, but of course the High Street has some alternatives.
Trend Alert: Printed Skinny Jeans
Skinny jeans are getting a jazzy makeover for Spring 2010 as they begin to rival leggings in terms of patterns. Skinny jeans and jeggings are now adorned with floral and animal prints providing a new twist on the wardrobe staple.
You can chose between a bright, statement pair like Peter Jensen's floral style (£140), or go for something more subtle like Topshop's grey floral pair (£45).
Trend Alert: Bra Top
Underwear is taking centre stage this season as it becomes one of Spring's hottest looks. Underwear as outerwear might sound scary, but it's not as daunting as it first seems. Underwear is bigger so don't think of this look as being outside in a lacy bra and thong!
Trend Alert: Minimal Makeup
Bin the blush girls! John Galliano may have sent bold makeup extravaganzas down the runway at the weekend, but elsewhere there's a rival trend emerging: Minimalism. The Autumn shows, have been filled with bare, fresh faced looks using subtle makeup touches.
Trend Alert: Leather Shorts
Last month, you said that you probably would wear leather shorts this season as they become one of the new must have items. They've already been worn by Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Miley Cyrus and Frankie Sandford to name a few, and are now storming the High Street. See below for where you can get your hands on a pair to indulge your inner rock chick.
Trend Alert: Kooky Hair Colours
This week, bright rainbow hair colours have been everywhere, from celebrity land to the catwalk. Yesterday, on the Paris catwalks Manish Arora sent out technicolour hairstyles in blue, piercing red and yellow. On the same day in London, the Sugarbabes' Amelle Berrabah appeared with blue streaks in her hair, whilst Kelly Osbourne has dyed her hair lavender.
Trend Alert: Eyelet Bags
Accessories are taking a retro turn this Spring as a new form of embellishment helps to give bags an '80s feel. Eyelets are appearing on many different shapes and colours of bags from sleek clutches at Jimmy Choo (£487) to bigger totes (£723) at Marni.
The trend is taking the High Street by storm too with duffle (£30) and shopper styles (£24).
