When fashion and beauty come together, nothing makes me quite as happy. That's why I've taken a trip down memory lane to bring you six of my favourite collaborations between beauty brands and fashion designers from 2011. Take a peek through the photos and let me know which of these limited-edition collections you like best.
How to Wear Monochromatic Style
The sleek, monochromatic trend may have started in Spring with designers like Alexander Wang, Derek Lam, and Celine showing head-to-toe white, blue, and gray ensembles, but it’s still going strong for Summer, particularly in light- or bright-colored hues. Discover the trick to pulling off this sophisticated silhouette and inject your mid-Summer wardrobe with a dose of chic by opting for one of these one-color looks! Battle of the Blondes — Who Wore Tibi Better?
It seems Brooklyn Decker and Blake Lively had more than morning show interviews in common when the ladies showed up to their respective programs wearing the same dress. While Brooklyn headed to her guest appearance at Good Morning America, outfitted in a white floral-embroidered Tibi dress, Blake Lively chose a blue version of the same style for her stop by the Today show. Clearly, the blond beauties had more than a few things in common this morning, though each brought their personal touch to the styling. Brooklyn chose to keep it casual, throwing a utility-style vest over her LWD, adding a pair of neutral ankle-strap pumps, and finishing with a pop of leopard print. Meanwhile, Blake accentuated her stems with a pair of leopard Louboutins and let the pretty blue dress stand on its own. Now it's time to weigh in — which of the blondes wore her Tibi best?

Bobbi Brown Collaborates with Tibi
In stores now is the latest limited-edition launch for Spring from Bobbi Brown. However, just to keep things even more fun and floral this season, they've collaborated with the clothing brand Tibi to create a gorgeous mini-range. The star product of the group is the pink, purple and grey Peony & Python Palette (£38) whose cover was designed by Amy Smilovic, Tibi's designer and founder. Inside of the palette are six powder shadows along with two brushes. Bobbi said,
"The pinks and purples in this collection are inspired by peonies, my favourite flower. Peonies are lush, decadent and delicate — just like the colours in the limited palette. I’ve also incorporated grey, a colour that was big on the runways this season. A great neutral, it’s totally versatile and a cool counterpoint to pink."

The collection also includes a Peony Rich Color Gloss (£14.50) a middle of the road pink with high shine and the smoothness of a balm. A Rich Lip Color in Lilac (£16), and a Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara Extends (£18) which is now available in Plum. Are you going to incorporate pinks and purples into your Spring 2011 makeup look?
Celebrity Style: Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens attended an LG Mobile Phone event last night in Hollywood looking very Summery. She wore a bright blue strapless Tibi frock with Jimmy Choo sandals. Vanessa accessorised with layered up necklaces and a metallic clutch. I really like this colour and it's perfect for the warmer months. You can copy Vanessa's ensemble below.

Trend Alert: Pink Eye Shadow For Spring
After looking at photos of show after show of barely made up, fresh faces on the Spring 2010 NY catwalks, it came as a fun surprise to spot a slew of gals wearing punchy pink eyeshadow. To pull off this look in a wearable way, the rest of the face needs to remain relatively tame, with gently accented pale pink blusher, black eyeliner and of course lots of mascara.

Lips can be pink, nude or bare, but foundation should be smooth and clean. We saw a burst of pink eye shadows on the runways during 2009 Autumn London Fashion Week, so it looks like this trend might be sticking around long enough to invest in. I happen to love a fresh face with one pop of colour, and pink is always on the top of my list. What do you think of pink shadow?
