The Weinstein Company held a celebration of The King's Speech at Chateau Marmont last night. The film won four awards at the Oscars, including best picture, best actor (presented by Sandra Bullock), best director, and best original screenplay. Costars Geoffrey Rush and Colin Firth toasted their movie's success alongside Colin's wife, Livia Giuggioli. Colin joked about his royal wedding invite getting lost in the post during his time in the press room, after he walked the red carpet with Livia and lots of dapper men. Directors Baz Luhrmann, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, and Eli Roth joined in the fun, as did writer Mark Logue and producer Gareth Unwin. Host Harvey Weinstein was joined by Georgina Chapman and Jane Seymour. Colin and Geoffrey's costar Helena Bonham Carter was absent from the pictures, but she did attend the Weinstein party the night before along with director Tom Hooper.

During Jonathan Ross' opening speech at the BAFTAs tonight, he explained that during the night a winner would be read out and "whichever member of the cast or crew of The King's Speech that has won" would come up to the stage and collect the award. That was a fair assumption of the night that was to follow as the movie swept the board, with awards for Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush. The Harry Potter cast, Chris Morris, Tom Hardy and Natalie Portman were also among those honoured with awards tonight — here are all the winners!
