2010 Autumn Trend Alert: Leather Harness
London is famous for being fashion forward as a city and debuting trends before the other capitals have even considered it. This is especially true with young, upcoming designers, but also with bigger names which are now showing here. Over the past seven days I have begun to notice trends emerging which are sure to influence Autumn wardrobes.
Ten of my Favourite Looks from Sass and Bide
Whilst I love that London is a city which celebrates and provides a platform for young, creative talent, it's also great to see it as a fashion capital which attracts commercially successful labels like Sass and Bide. The Australian duo presented their Autumn collection yesterday at Somerset House. The show was produced in monochrome with plenty of embellishment which added edge to the looks.
Love it or Hate it: Sass and Bide Beast Rat Leggings
Last Winter, Sass and Bide caused a storm with their rat leggings which were spotted on celebrities (including Russell Brand) and mere mortals alike. This season, they have stepped up a gear with an animal print!
The beast rat leggings (£185) have a gold design running across them and would certainly make a statement.

Look for Less: Sass and Bide Rat Leggings
Sass and Bide were mainly famous for their skinny jeans until this season when their rat leggings quickly became one of the most talked about pieces of the Autumn. Most of you thought they were fabulous and it seems that Russell Brand agrees with you too!
I was slightly put off by their name but have since warmed to the style and have even developed a slight soft spot for the PVC version (£130).

Fab Blab: Russell Brand on Ruched Leggings
Here at Fab UK, I don't usually concern myself with menswear. However, when it's womenswear being worn by a man the lines get blurred — and when that man is Russell Brand then the two categories truly merge! Eagle eye fashion fans will have already noticed that Russell has recently been seen in Sass & Bide's Rat Leggings.
Freaky or Fabulous? Sass & Bide Rats Leggings
When Alex Curran stepped out in these leggings earlier in the month I was slightly horrified. But now having taken a step back and realised that she was tackling many trends head on, I'm not quite so appalled!
They'd look best with heels (like Alex demonstrates) but maybe with a longer top or structured jacket.
On Our Radar: Sass and Bide for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer
Australian designers Sass & Bide have teamed up with Net-a-Porter to offer this funky tie-dye tank dress for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. The boho-tech item is perfect for Spring/Summer and features funky sequin detailing.
It's available from Net-a-Porter for £105 with all the proceeds going to help women affected by breast cancer.

If you thought that you had to go to Selfridges to get a great range of jeans, think again as Topshop opens a premium denim area. The flagship Oxford Circus store from August will stock jeans by the likes of Sass & Bide, J Brand and Dittos to name but a few.
There are also plans for capsule collections designed with some of the top denim brands for the autumn months.
