Back in June, I told you that Kate Moss was working on a makeup collaboration with Rimmel London to celebrate her 10-year anniversary as the face of the brand. And yesterday, she and a few of her fellow Rimmel spokesmodels gathered at the Battersea Power Station to launch The Kate Moss Lasting Finish Collection. The seven-shade range comes in an edgy, matte-black tube and has her signature in bright red along the side as an extra-special touch.
Kate talks about her new lipsticks saying,
"My inspiration for this range was really to create easy to wear, classic shades that I have always worn and loved. From bright reds, to soft pinks and nudes, there is a shade for everyone and any occasion. It was also really important for me that they were comfortable to wear. Whatever your outfit there is sure to be a shade to match!"

Now that Kate Moss has moved on from designing clothing for Topshop and handbags for Longchamp, she's trying her hand at makeup. The 37-year-old supermodel has just designed a collection for Rimmel London in honour of her 10-year relationship with the brand. The range, which is expected to launch this Autumn, contains six lipsticks with her signature printed on the tubes, various shadows packaged in Union Jack casing, mascara, and a silver and black leopard and rhinestone case that's a free gift with purchase. A spokesperson for the company had this to say:
"Rimmel is very excited to announce our collaboration with our ambassador, Kate Moss, for a makeup range. Products and packaging are still in the final stages of production; the line is due to hit shelves in the UK in September. We plan to share more details of the launch over the coming months."
It's hard to believe that Kate has been a Rimmel model for 10 years now. I'd even say that she's practically qualified to design for it, as she's got tonnes of experience with its products under her belt.

Blue-eyed actress and singer, Zooey Deschanel came on board as brand ambassador of Rimmel London in March as they celebrated a ten year anniversary in America. The company is now utilising Deschanel to help boost US sales by giving her the starring role in the adverts for the new Match Perfection Foundation and Glam’ Eyes Shadows due out early in 2011.
Rick Goldberg, vice president of marketing for Rimmel London told WWD, "We wanted to add an American voice. We have an American beauty with London confidence."
Deschanel joins the ranks as coveted model in the Rimmel family alongside Georgia May Jagger, Coco Rocha, Lily Cole, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Kate Moss. She said,
"I love makeup. I’ve been wearing different beauty products for years. I shop everywhere and I love the fact you can get such great looks at a reasonable price. I want to be associated with products that are accessible for everyone."
Rimmel is hoping that Deschanel's popularity and girlish appeal will resonate with younger market. I think it will, especially since they are so well know for mascara and she has such gorgeous eyes. After reading about the new technology involved in the new Match Perfection Foundation, I'm really excited to see these ads and to test out the goodies. Do you have a favourite Rimmel product?
Clinique have been going from strength to strength this past year bringing out some killer products, so I was excited to see it scooped seven accolades at The Sunday Times' Style annual Beauty Awards!
The awards were announced yesterday and saw Clinique, (which is also the UK's bestselling premium skincare brand) win Best Skincare Brand overall, along with trophies for Best Blush, for it's Blushing Blush, Best Mascara, for its High Lengths Mascara in black (one of my personal favourites). It also won Best Foundation, Best Facial Moisturiser, Best Eye Cream, and Best Mask. Go team!

Lara Stone was announced as the face of Prada's new fragrance campaign yesterday. It's so exciting! The beauty is already fronting Jaeger's Spring campaign and is going from strength to strength.
She's not the only new face on the beauty scene. There's a whole new generation of starlets fronting beauty campaigns for 2010, from the new crop at Rimmel that includes Coco Rocha and Beyonce's sister Solange, to Julia Roberts who recently took the helm at Lancôme.
