Rihanna has really worked hard over the past year to make her name as a style icon. She has worn outrageous outfits both on stage and off and appeared in countless front rows (often for a tidy sum). This month she fronts style bible i–D magazine with a gorgeous cover.
Are Celebrities in the Front Row Important to the Brand?
This week details have been revealed about how much celebrities get paid to sit in the front row at fashion shows. Amongst those discussed are A listers Beyonce Knowles (who gets $80,000-$100,000), Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen ($80,000 each) and Chloe Sevigny ($60,000 or more). However, it seems the top dog is Rihanna who gets a staggering $100,000 or more to sit pretty.
Do You Match Your Makeup to the Season?
I couldn't help but notice Rihanna at the 2010 Grammy Awards wearing snowy looking eye makeup. She had her lids dusted in a white, frosty shadow similar to Miss Popularity, a best seller from Benefit. In the Summertime, I tend to use corals and more bronzer as my tan deepens, and in the Spring, I'm definitely more of a sucker for pastels and brights to match the blooming flowers.
2010 Grammy Awards Trend: Long, Dramatic Gowns
The 2010 Grammy Awards took place overnight in Los Angeles celebrating some of the biggest names in American music. The red carpet was packed with stars including Beyonce Knowles, Nicole Kidman, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. Whilst looking through the red carpet images I noticed a lot of floor sweeping gowns – many with dramatic hemlines.
Love it or Hate it: Rihanna on Norwegian TV
Rihanna appeared on Norwegian TV last night to encourage people to donate to Haiti. The singer is in London today where she will perform "Stranded" with Jay-Z and Bono. In Norway, she wore an Elie Saab jacket over a Paule Ka dress for a very feminine ensemble finished off with Christian Louboutin heels.
Worst Dressed Celebrities Are Named and Shamed
The catwalks in 2009 saw an increase in the amount of fur used in all of the fashion capitals. There were some theories for this increase, including designers being paid to use the animal fabric. Whatever the reason, The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is determined to discourage celebrities from wearing it in 2010 by naming and shaming some of the worst offenders.
Is More Than One Tattoo Sexy or Scandalous?
I'm not sure if Rihanna actually has another tattoo, or if this "R" on her shoulder is paying temporary homage to the release of her latest record that called Rated R that dropped yesterday. Who Wore Their Nude Lipstick Best at Last Night's AMAs?
Yesterday in Hollywood, the 2009 American Music Awards took place, and all of the coolest entertainers came out to celebrate, present and perform. The red carpet was filled with international (not just American stars) like Shakira and Leona Lewis, decked out with beautiful hair and makeup. By far, the hottest trend of the evening was nude lipstick/gloss.

Last night at Rihanna's amazing private Nokia concert that I was lucky enough to attend along with some of the PopSugarUK winners, not only did Jay-Z surprise us all with an appearance, but Rihanna looked gorgeous. She totally rocked the stage in two embellished bodysuits along with her newly blonde hair. For the afterparty, she dried off and changed up her makeup adding a flash of hot pink liner to her lower lashes.
Which Hair Colour Do You Like Best on Rihanna?
Last night at the Glamour Women of the Year event in New York City, singer Rihanna took home the big award. I'm guessing it has something to do with not only her music and her style, but it also pays tribute to the bravery and courage she displayed going public about her abusive relationship with Chris Brown. Rihanna complemented her flesh-toned ball gown with newly pale blonde hair.
