Tie the Knot in Style - See Richard Nicoll's Topshop Bridal Collection

Modern brides-to-be, get excited: here's a sneak peek at Richard Nicoll's eagerly anticipated Tie the Knot collection for Topshop. The summer line is the designer's sixth collaboration with the high street brand, and Topshop's first ever designer wedding range. Four designs in pale shell-pink and white follow Nicoll’s signature style of sheer and matte fabrics with tailored and floaty shapes. Think layers of sheer organza, geometric lace and crepe de chine. I can already see the limited edition floor-length wedding dress with silk bodice, georgette underskirt and peplum selling out, as only 50 will be made. British-born, Australian-raised Nicoll said:

"I loved the idea of doing wedding dresses with Topshop because I wanted to offer a younger, cooler alternative to meringue culture, something special, but not precious, like my friends, something they would wear if they were getting married. These pieces are perfect as party dresses too if you're not the marrying kind."

Topshop To Launch Bridal Collection With Richard Nicoll

Topshop is entering the bridal marketplace and launching their own wedding dress collection. The British high street brand is excited to be collaborating with Richard Nicoll once again, this time on bridal gowns, with Topshop tweeting: "Want to get married just so we can wear our @studio_nicoll bridal collection set to land in June. Can't give you a sneak peek but wow!"

At his S/S '12 show at London Fashion Week last September, Nicoll brought out several floaty, romantic pieces in a departure from his more usual sporty style, perhaps giving us a taste of what's to come. The London-born designer, who has worked with Topshop before, told Grazia Daily: "I am understanding more and more what women want but it has to gel with what I want too. So it's a compromise of both perspectives, architecture meets reality. The wearable things are what I would want to wear if I was a woman." Are you excited for the collaboration?

Topshop's designer collaborations just keep getting better. It is the best way to get your hands on designer pieces without breaking the bank and also ensure you're update with the current hottest designers. This Spring, there are a whole range of collections from names like Ashish, Jonathan Saunders and Richard Nicoll.

Nicoll is now in to his fifth collaboration and this time it's all about nudes and flesh tones. The eight piece line is '50s inspired with heart detailing and grey micro-stripes. He explained, “…it's for a girl’s girl with a rebellious spirit who paints her bedroom a hot, not pretty, shade of pink”. The collection lands in store on 13th February with prices ranging from £32. On Our Radar: Richard Nicoll for Topshop

Richard Nicoll presented his Autumn line yesterday at London Fashion Week and his designs are always lusted after by the A list. Unfortunately, most of us don't necessarily have the budget for his main line which is why collaborations like this are so important. His Spring collection for Topshop has the essence of his main line, with colour blocking, feminine pieces and sharp tailoring but at a fraction of the price. I particularly like the grey and blue maxi dress which would be great in the Summer with a big hat, and the sailor dress which I would wear to an outdoor party or wedding.
