Trend Alert: Ponying Up for the Super Bowl
The biggest sports event in America took place last night in Miami, as the New Orleans Saints played the Indianapolis Colts for the NFL championship. I'm not sure if any of you actually saw the Super Bowl as it was on very late last night, however, today, the news is buzzing with all of the latest celebrity-filed photos from the big night. Stars like Kim Kardashian (whose running back boyfriend Reggie Bush took home the trophy), Queen Latifah and Carrie Underwood, all wore their hair styled in ponytails.

Girls Aloud had plenty to smile about this weekend as they partied in London to celebrate their current number one. X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole was working her girl-next-door brand of pretty as she left GMTV studios in London this morning, not looking worse for wear in the slightest. I much prefer Cheryl's daytime style as sometime her evening look is a little too over the top for my taste.

The humble pony is getting a sophisticated makeover this season. Heidi Klum (left) showed off the style on the red carpet with a disheveled twisted pony pulled slightly to the side and paired with butterfly earrings. On the catwalks for Spring/Summer 2009 the do was out in full force too.

The pony has never been so hot - from the Calvin Klein show –as seen here – to celebs such as Kate Beckinsale and Jennifer Aniston working the look. It's a classic, chicly sleek approach. While I'm a big fan of messy ponytails, it's the groomed, preppy pony that's really big this season.

Last night at The Book Of Eli Premiere in Los Angeles, actress Mila Kunis walked the red carpet looking both sexy and prim in a black one-shouldered dress and her hair slightly teased on the top and pulled into a ponytail in the back. There's something naturally sexy about Mila, maybe it's the shape of her eyes combined with her full bottom lip that has me comparing her to Angelina Jolie in my mind. We've also seen Mila at past Hollywood soirees with a side swooping updo and with her hair styled all back with loose tendrils falling around her face.
