Going With the Flow at Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

There was more than champagne flowing at last weekend's Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Governors Island in New York City. Celebs including Naomi Watts, Isla Fisher, and Nicky Hilton showed up in flowy Summer dresses and skirts for the annual polo fundraiser. The event, organized to raise money for Hope Help and Rebuild Haiti, had polo star Nacho Figueras, Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan as fashionable co-host to master-of-ceremonies Hugh Jackman. The ladies' choice of easy florals, sundresses, and hats are casual enough for a day in the sun, but classy enough to warrant a popping of champagne. Seriously, how cute is Naomi Watts in her white dress and oxfords? Click the slideshow to see each Summer-perfect look, as well as one very dashing bonus picture of Nacho Figueras (in a lesson on how Summer menswear should be done).

Whoa, Nellie: US Polo Association Goes Head to Head With Ralph Lauren

Would you be confused by these two logos?

Would you be confused by these two logos? On Friday, a New York federal judge seemed to think so, ruling that the US Polo Association (USPA) cannot use a horse-and-rider image, along with the word "polo," when marketing its own fragrances.

The reason? The similarities to Ralph Lauren's Polo fragrance line would cause consumer confusion, not to mention violate the fashion brand's "substantive trademark rights," said Judge Robert Sweet.

As you might imagine, the USPA disagrees with the ruling, especially since a 2006 jury found that the double horseman image, when accompanied by the USPA logo, did not infringe upon the apparel market. So it looks like the USPA will be considering an appeal on this one, particularly because the logo/image dispute has been going on for years between the two organizations. When it comes to fragrances, would you be befuddled by the similar appearances of both brands' logos?

Do, Dump, or Marry? Nacho Figueras

If Nacho Figueras were not a real person, Harlequin romance writers would have to invent him.

If Nacho Figueras were not a real person, Harlequin romance writers would have to invent him. Tall, dark, and handsome? Check. International man of mystery, aka a freaking professional polo player from Argentina? Check. A man whose first name evokes one of my favorite snacks? Check.

Yesterday, I told you about a poll asking 15,000 women which country had the best male lovers? Fuzzles reminded us that the poll must be flawed, because Argentina and the beautiful Nacho were nowhere to be found. What do you think about this gorgeous model for Ralph Lauren Polo? (If you want to suggest someone we haven't included yet, join our Do, Dump, or Marry? group and suggest a hottie!)

Trend Alert: The Unskinny Pants

Thanks to Prada and their reinvention of utilitarian chic, the cargo pant has taken on numerous forms.

Thanks to Prada and their reinvention of utilitarian chic, the cargo pant has taken on numerous forms. Whether full-on cargo, drawstring, low-wise, fatigue, cropped or beachy, the unskinny pant is here to stay. So when you've had enough of your skinny jeans, take a breather in a pair of these. I love them for travel or a good ol' dog walk around the block. Avoid anything too dressed up or business-y on top and keep the sporty vibe alive with some gladiator sandals and layered tanks.
