Prep For Olympics Closing Ceremony With Topshop for Opening Ceremony

The Olympics may be coming to an end with Sunday's closing ceremony, but that doesn't mean the sporty fashion fun has to be over too.

The Olympics may be coming to an end with Sunday's closing ceremony, but that doesn't mean the sporty fashion fun has to be over too. Topshop teamed up with Opening Ceremony, which was one of the exciting pop-up shops to open in London for the Games, to bring us an 8-piece collaboration that is perfect for showing your red, white and blue patriotism. The Union Jack inspired capsule collection has body-con silhouettes, a-line dresses, high-waisted knickers and luxe sweaters. Keep the Team GB spirit going by shopping the collection below, and tell me how you've embraced the London Olympics in your wardrobe!

Europe's first Opening Ceremony store opened in London yesterday, one of many temporary shops popping up over the capital in time for the start of the 2012 Olympics. The New York boutique will become a permanent fixture after the Games, as they will take over a Covent Garden shop a couple of doors down in October. This area will become home to Chanel's beauty pop-up next week, with Karl Lagerfeld opening in Selfridges and plenty of other big names heading to Stratford right by the Olympics venues to take advantage of the international footfall. After 95 Years, Keds Finally Launches a Cool Clothing Line — Will You Wear It?

We've all owned a pair of Keds in our lifetime and now, just a mere 95 years after the brand was first conceived, Keds is launching a clothing line.

We've all owned a pair of Keds in our lifetime and now, just a mere 95 years after the brand was first conceived, Keds is launching a clothing line. The limited-edition Resort collection is set to launch exclusively during the holiday weekend on Black Friday at Opening Ceremony stores and on its website. There will be 85 styles to shop from and judging from the sneak peek below, we expect to see a preppy-meets-cool collection of printed dresses (we love the adorable Peter Pan collar), varsity-inspired sweaters, and tailored tops ranging from $48 to $400. We can't wait to grab a piece for ourselves and, since it's the holiday season, one for our BFF. What are your thoughts on the collection?

It's that time — when all things cozy and comfortable have unmatched appeal. In an effort to keep even our knitwear as chic as possible (without compromising on comfort), we've scoured our favorite stores for the cold-weather essentials we'll need for the month ahead. Admittedly, some pieces aren't so basic — a little Fair Isle, a few stripes, or a bit of sheer here and there to add interest to Winter-perfect gray sweaters, chunky cardigans, and even skirts. As for the necessary elements, you'll find that we haven't skimped on comfy bottoms with stylish (yes, stylish) sweats and fleece-lined leggings. Rodarte For Opening Ceremony Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

The talented ladies of Rodarte debuted their collaboration in Opening Ceremony stores and online today — and just as you'd imagine, the collection Kate and Laura Mulleavy designed is fabulously cool. With a blend of lace-up leather jackets and shorts, floral prints, sandy tones, and vintage-inspired accessories, we're reminded of desert landscapes and a retro style sense. The women's collection is only available stateside and it retails from $250 to $2,200. It might just be worth the flight across the Atlantic! Click through to preview our favourites.

Trend Alert: Drop Front Jacket

Blazers are a wardrobe staple and remain a must have season upon season.
Lover at ShopStyle

Blazers are a wardrobe staple and remain a must have season upon season. The only difference is that they get a slight update each time and this season it's been given an edgy feel with draped detailing.

There are a variety of styles for a range of budgets from a drop front style at Topshop (£60), to a softer charcoal design at Opening Ceremony (£445). Roberto Cavalli has a luxury wool version (£1,310) in his Autumn collection too. My favourite is Lover's drape lapel blazer (£375). What do you think of this twist on the classic?

Fab Blab: Chloë Sevigny

Chloë Sevigny is one of my favourite fashion icons.

Chloë Sevigny is one of my favourite fashion icons. She makes quirky style look easy, and she always has a unique take on trends. Chloë also designs for Opening Ceremony which is already popular in the States and will soon be available here. Her latest collection will hit Selfridges and Dover Street Market in August.

This weekend Sunday Times Style caught up with her to ask her about getting older, young celebrities and being involved in ad campaigns. Her style is effortless, which not many celebrities seem to achieve any more and it amazes me how she doesn't look like she's aged one bit over the years! She commented, "I’d never want to become famous now. I feel like there’s a real cockiness with young people today. Maybe it’s protective, a shell. But the new celeb daughters and sons, the pop stars, are wise beyond their years."

Despite looking young, she confesses to being aware of her age. "I saw these lace Doc Martens, and I was like, I can’t wear those, I’m 34! Things like that are completely inappropriate. I’ll have to wait until I’m 75, then start wearing them again..." However, Chloë does like to stay in tune with the fashion industry, "It’s fun to be involved in fashion campaigns, to stay relevant to a certain extent, but I’ve never consciously pursued it, and I’m not going to start now."

Trend Alert: Denim Leggings

Skinny jeans and leggings have been two key items for many seasons.
undefined

Skinny jeans and leggings have been two key items for many seasons. They may have changed colour but the tight fitting shape has remained constant.

It's not a big surprise then that the two have combined for Spring 2009 to create denim leggings, or should that be denim treggings? Kate Bosworth has already been spotted in a pair and they're popping up all over the High Street from as little as £12.

Alternatively, for a high fashion version try Rick Owens or Opening Ceremony where they feature more detail. Wear with animal print for this season's bad taste trend. See below for some denim leggings currently available.
