I get so excited when I can finally reveal the truth behind the beauty products, fragrances and websites that you've been enjoying most this year. As we know, green nail polish has made its way into the mainstream recently, and Chanel's limited-edition Jade colour has a lot to do with it.

Choosing a nail polish for your wedding day is about the biggest nail decision you'll ever have to make. These nudey-sheer shades that I've chosen are some of my all-time favourite classical colours. Pick a buff shade if you have pale skin, a pinkier shade if you have medium skin, or a peach shade if you have darker skin.
Silver Nail Varnish Is Making a Comeback!
Silver nail polish is definitely not a brand-new trend, in fact, it was popular in the 80's and then re-surfaced about a year and a half ago with basic-coloured metallics like silver and gold. Many permutations like gunmetal, blue and chrome, spawned from the basics, while gold and silver seemed to fade with the season. Now it's back again and this time, we're seeing silver on some of Hollywood's hottest girls like Lindsay Lohan (spotted in Paris) and Paris Hilton (dressed up as a Pussycat Doll).

Behind The Scenes at the 2009 Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards
On Tuesday morning, at the Kensington Roof Gardens in London, Cosmopolitan UK threw the 7th annual beauty awards bash of the year! Besides the flowing array of nibbles, coffee and tea, 82 products (and their trophy's) were showcased around the room for editors, PR's and guests to admire and test. Justine Southall (pictured on the far right), Cosmo's Publishing Director spoke about the state of affairs at the magazine whilst Ingborg Van Lotringen, Cosmo's Beauty Director presented the two newest awards for Breakthrough Product to Clairol Perfect 10 and the Classic Award to The Body Shop Body Butters.
Trend Alert: Poppy Toenail Varnish
With the weather warming up all over the world this weekend, there was no shortage of sandal-wearing celebrities. I noticed that at the multitude of parties that took place, the toenail polish of choice has been poppy — a bright, flirty cross between pink, orange and red. Three poppy colours that I absolutely adore OPI on Collins Avenue (£9.95) which is a funky reddish-orange, Essie Risky Buininess (£8.50) a neon coral, and Rescue Beauty Lounge Sheer Red (£13.45) because it's not as opaque as the others and it has just a tinge more blue in it.
