Fab Ad: Nick Knight and Gareth Pugh for Mercedes Benz
Fashion photographer Nick Knight has been picked by Mercedes to shoot it's latest ad campaign. Knight was chosen because of his innovative use of technology (his website ShowStudio live streams photoshoots to the world) which normally produces edgy fashion shoots.
The advertising for the SLS AMG could easily be mistaken for a style shoot, as Gareth Pugh also played a part.
Fab Flash: BFC Reveales 25 Most Powerful List
The 2009 British Fashion Awards take place this evening (you can see a full list of nominees here) and with just hours to go, the British Fashion Council have announced a list of the 25 most powerful in the industry. The list was chosen by a panel which included British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman and contains both household names (Kate Moss, Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith) and lesser known industry insiders (Lulu Kennedy, Louis Wilson and Joan Burnstein) highlighting the size and impact of fashion.
It's also interesting how many of the people mentioned have been knighted proving the importance of the industry as a whole to the UK.

Emma Watson is becoming a major fashion name. Just last week it was rumoured that Emma is to be the face of Burberry Prorsum next season and now she is the cover girl of uber cool American magazine Interview. She joins the likes of Kate Moss and Marc Jacobs as stars of the Warhol founded publication.

Nick Knight and enfant de terrible of British fashion Gareth Pugh have combined forces for this month's issue of Dazed and Confused. The gothic cover features a design from Pugh's Autumn line whilst the issue focuses on structure.
Just weeks ahead of Pugh's Paris debut Dazed runs a shoot featuring the talents of both Pugh and celebrated fashion photographer Nick Knight.

Nick Knight has tapped in to this craze at SHOWstudio and launched a 3 day music and fashion event being held at London's Abbey Road Studios.

If anybody knows Naomi "don't call her a supermodel" Campbell's poses and model style it's Nick Knight who has photographed the model many, many times. Now, however, Knight has been photographing Campbell in a new way using three-dimensional scanners in order to create a 30ft tall (that's nearly two double decker buses) statue.
Knight told The Independent, "Photography is changing completely, and one of the things that's doing this is 3-D scanning.
FAB TV: Flowers for Kate Moss
