Mark Wahlberg was joined by Rebel Wilson for the premiere of their film Pain & Gain at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood last night.

Mark Wahlberg was joined by Rebel Wilson for the premiere of their film Pain & Gain at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood last night. Mark and Rebel were accompanied by costars Anthony Mackie and Bar Paly and their director, Michael Bay, for the West Coast premiere, while Mark had his other leading lady, wife Rhea Durham, by his side as well. Although Mark's been busy promoting the movie ahead of its Friday release, he took a break yesterday to pick up flowers with his sons, Michael and Brendan, before hitting the red carpet.

Rebel, who sparkled in a red Theia dress at the event, shared a picture from last night's festivities and complimented her costar on her Twitter, writing, "Mark Wahlberg is such a boss. We missed you The Rock, and send you kisses and hugs." Rebel was referring to their costar Dwayne Johnson, who was absent from the LA premiere. Rebel's night out was just her latest in a busy schedule that included hosting the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month. It doesn't look like things will be slowing down for her any time soon, either, since just last week Universal announced that a sequel to Pitch Perfect will be released in 2015.

Missing from the cast's South Beach stop was their leading lady Rebel Wilson. She's busy prepping for her upcoming duties as host of the 2013 MTV Movie Awards this Sunday. This year's show has plenty of fun in store. Mark Wahlberg Premieres a Film — and Does the Weather — in Philly

Mark Wahlberg had a smile on his face when he premiered Broken City in Philadelphia last night.

Mark Wahlberg had a smile on his face when he premiered Broken City in Philadelphia last night. His latest film also features Catherine Zeta-Jones and Russell Crowe, though they were absent from the festivities. Mark did, however, have the support of director Allen Hughes for the occasion. Along with debuting the film, Mark did the weather and traffic forecast for a local station this morning. Philly was Mark's latest promotional stop for the project, after visiting Atlanta and Chicago to chat up the release in recent days.

Another one of Mark's movies is getting press as well, since it's been reported that Jack Reynor has signed on to star opposite Mark in Transformers 4. Mark's 2013 is off to a busy start following a relaxing family vacation over the holidays in Hawaii where he went shirtless to hit the beach with his wife and kids.

Jennifer and Johnny, Twilight and Hunger Games — Highlights From the MTV Movie Awards

Russell Brand opened yesterday's MTV Movie Awards in his typical irreverent manner.

Russell Brand opened yesterday's MTV Movie Awards in his typical irreverent manner. Bouncing from one off-color celebrity topic to another, he finally said, "Wait until you hear what I have to say about short-lived celebrity marriages!" Russell, who filed for divorce from Katy Perry last December after 14 months of marriage, went on to thank Kim Kardashian, whose own 72-day union "took a lot of pressure off me." Russell went on to give a lewd shout-out to his former schoolmate Michael Fassbender and even rile up the rivalry between Hunger Games and Twilight fans.

Ted's Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg were the first to present, handing off the best dirtbag honor to none other than Jennifer Aniston. There was some unscripted drama, though, when Mark came to Mila's defense after an audience member made a rude comment. Further love went to best male and female performers Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence of The Hunger Games. Kristen Stewart and her Snow White and the Huntsman costar Chris Hemsworth presented the latter to an absent Jennifer, who's making a movie in Prague.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart managed to snag their fourth consecutive best kiss award for the Twilight series, but since he wasn't at the show, she accepted it solo. Kristen jokingly called up her SWATH costars Chris and Charlize Theron, and even asked for help from Taylor Lautner. Then saying, "That's OK, I do pretty well by myself," Kristen wrapped her arms around herself and pretended to be making out with someone.

Aerosmith's Joe Perry and Steven Tyler were on hand to give the 2012 Generation Award to Johnny Depp. Johnny accepted by accompanying The Black Keys for a musical number. With his daughter, Lily-Rose, in the audience, Johnny thanked his fans for the "amazing honor." Another big prize went to Emma Stone, this year's Trailblazer. She gave a heartfelt acceptance speech thanking her own idols and urging young people to try and be their true, unique selves.

Emma also did a stint on stage with her The Amazing Spider-Man costar Andrew Garfield, and they were followed by Prometheus's Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron. Total Recall's Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel handed off the golden popcorn for best cast to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 gang, which was represented by Emma Watson. Magic Mike hotties Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum were interrupted by their shirtless costar Joe Manganiello when presenting best transformation to The Hunger Games' Elizabeth Banks.

Before the best picture was crowned, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Christian Bale gave a sneak peek at The Dark Knight Rises. Finally, Breaking Dawn Part Two was deemed movie of the year, with Kristen, Taylor, and their costars taking the stage to say thanks. Make sure to check out all the MTV Movie Awards winners.

Ted Trailer: Mark Wahlberg Has a Bong-Loving Bear BFF

The trailer for Ted starts off like a typical romantic comedy: there's a meet-cute between John (Mark Wahlberg) and Lori (Mila Kunis), they fall in love, "Sweet Disposition" plays, etc.

The trailer for Ted starts off like a typical romantic comedy: there's a meet-cute between John (Mark Wahlberg) and Lori (Mila Kunis), they fall in love, "Sweet Disposition" plays, etc. There's some trouble in paradise though, and it comes in the form of Ted, John's real-life childhood Teddy, who also happens to be his best friend. This isn't one of those invisible BFFs (a la Drop Dead Fred) either; everyone can see Ted as he smokes weed, works in a grocery store, and makes inappropriate gestures.

Ted kind of reminds me of Brian from Family Guy, which isn't too surprising considering Seth MacFarlane writes, directs, and lends his voice to Ted. (The fact that Ted sounds like Peter Griffin is a bit distracting). The trailer could definitely be worse, but didn't have me laughing out loud either; I cant help but think that maybe Kunis is only in this as a favor to MacFarlane (since they do Family Guy together), though that still doesn't explain Wahlberg's involvement.

Mark Wahlberg and Family Open Wahlburgers Hamburger Joint in Boston!

Mark Wahlberg joined his mother Alma Elaine Wahlberg, and his two brothers Donnie and Paul Wahlberg at the grand opening of their new hamburger restaurant, Wahlburgers, in Hingham, MA yesterday.

Mark Wahlberg joined his mother Alma Elaine Wahlberg, and his two brothers Donnie and Paul Wahlberg at the grand opening of their new hamburger restaurant, Wahlburgers, in Hingham, MA yesterday. The famous family has the perfect name for a burger joint, and Paul will serve as the chef at what is sure to be a hot spot in Beantown. Mark is currently between projects since being replaced by Bradley Cooper in David O.Russell's The Silver Lining Playbook, but Wahlberg does have a number of titles coming out in 2012. We were recently treated to the first trailer for Contraband, his upcoming heist movie, and he'll also show off his funny side opposite Mila Kunis in quirky comedy Ted. Mark is also enjoying the success of Boardwalk Empire, which he produces and is currently in the midst of its second season on HBO.

Contraband Trailer: Mark Wahlberg Gets Into One Last Smuggling Heist

Mark Wahlberg is back in his finest action star form for Contraband, where he stars as Chris Farraday, a man who used to be criminally great at smuggling, but has since gotten out of "the life."

Mark Wahlberg is back in his finest action star form for Contraband, where he stars as Chris Farraday, a man who used to be criminally great at smuggling, but has since gotten out of "the life." Though he's now a stable family man married to a blond Kate Beckinsale, he finds himself pulled into one more heist after his wife's brother gets involved with some thugs, led by Giovanni Ribisi. When they threaten his wife and kids, Chris has no choice but to jump back in with a job smuggling a huge load of cash and reunite with his old crew, which includes Ben Foster and Lukas Haas.

I like Wahlberg the most when he's heading up an action thriller, gun in his hand, and that's exactly what Contraband offers. The trailer is fast-paced, exciting, and with the whizz of gun shots being fired over a rap song, plenty of fun. The movie comes out Jan. 12, but watch the trailer now after the jump.

Several big stars stepped out this afternoon for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual luncheon.

Several big stars stepped out this afternoon for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual luncheon. Leonardo DiCaprio, Taylor Lautner, Gerard Butler, and Mark Wahlberg all took the podium inside the yearly event. The lunch gives the HFPA, the voting body behind the Golden Globe Awards, the opportunity to recognize its officers and raise money for entertainment nonprofits. It wasn't only the men of Hollywood who were on hand for the festivities — Lea Michele, Elizabeth Olsen, and Elisabeth Moss also walked the red carpet. We had a chance to catch up with rising star Elizabeth Olsen, who told us that while it's too early to talk about Very Good Girls, in which she's reportedly starring opposite Dakota Fanning, the two actually know each other outside of work. In fact, the two met when Elizabeth gave Dakota a tour of her North Hollywood high school, where Dakota ended up going. We also chatted with Jessica Chastain, who costars in The Help, about the role. She told us her grandmother was a big fan of the book, so she's planning to bring her along to the premiere next week, and is actually a little nervous to see how she likes the big-screen adaptation! For even more of our red-carpet coverage from today's event, including our full interviews with Jessica and Elizabeth, stay tuned to PopSugar Rush.
