I've been a fan of super-stylish Olivia Palermo ever since she graced our screens in MTV's hit show The City, so you can imagine my excitement when I ran in to her this London Fashion Week! What's more, she was really lovely, and nothing like the character she's portrayed as on television.
Olivia was in town to fete the launch of her new short film, directed by Kate Elson (sister of model Karen).

Designers and celebrities have been embracing their inner school girl this past week and plaits have been everywhere! On Tuesday at the Ashish runway show, models wore long, thick plaits with streaks of colour in them. Later that evening, Emilia Fox sported a girly braid to the Elle Style Awards, and on Saturday, the statuesque Tamsin Egerton worked a long Rapunzel style version at the Asprey Pre Bafta Bash.

Forget the Frizz-Ease girls, high volume pouffiness is emerging as one of the hottest hair trends for Winter. This week, London's catwalks have been packed with teased hairstyles. Topshop Unique fell in love with the idea of "savage woodland brownies", creating giant frizzy manes for its models using a combination of tonging and backcombing.

London's Freemason hall was well and truly rocked on Friday afternoon as US label Prophetik launched in the UK. Designed by poet and ex-musician Jeff Garner the collection was made entirely from sustainable fabrics and dyed using vegetables! There was a civil war theme to the pieces which were made from organic cotton, corduroy, hemp, reused silk and greenspun (a fabric created from recycled bottles).

Geri Halliwell rocked a Brigitte Bardot vibe with her fringe tied back, while Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh went with a flowing layered look. Sinitta opted for a full glamour goddess style with large loose curls.

There are only a few weeks to go until another round of catwalk shows kick off in the capital as designers get ready to present their Autumn '10 collections. London Fashion Week has grown in size over the past few seasons with big names like Burberry and Matthew Williamson showing on home turf. BellaSugar UK and I will of course be heading to Somerset House to bring you all of the latest news, but this season there is another way for you to stay updated.

2009 is not yet over, but we're already looking to Autumn 2010 as the schedule for February's London Fashion Week has been unveiled.
We already knew that Burberry were staying in town for another season after Christopher Bailey announced it at the British Fashion Awards, but it's not the only brand sticking around.
Matthew Williamson and Jonathan Saunders are both on the schedule along with Sass & Bide, Pringle of Scotland and Antonio Berardi.
