Europe's first Opening Ceremony store opened in London yesterday, one of many temporary shops popping up over the capital in time for the start of the 2012 Olympics. The New York boutique will become a permanent fixture after the Games, as they will take over a Covent Garden shop a couple of doors down in October. London 2012 Layers — Your Olympics Outfit Sorted

With London's weather so changeable at the moment, it's difficult to choose an outfit that would work for all eventualities for those lucky enough to be watching an Olympics event live this Summer.

With London's weather so changeable at the moment, it's difficult to choose an outfit that would work for all eventualities for those lucky enough to be watching an Olympics event live this Summer. That's wear that UK staple — dressing in layers — comes in. A breezy blouse and blazer combo from Hobbs and Topshop with a trusty Burberry trench over your arm will keep your top half at the right temperature come rain or shine, while a pair of Rag & Bone capri jeans will celebrate the label's upcoming London Fashion Week presentation. Patriotic accessories from Britain's best-loved brands like Stella McCartney, Liberty, Clarks, Knomo and Miss Selfridge will complete your look. While there's plenty of Union Jack fashion for those who want to be explicit in their dressing, this is a subtler way to show your red, white and blue spirit. Shop my picks above and tell me what you'll be wearing!
