It's so easy as a brunette to want to take the obvious route and highlight your hair colour just a little bit by opting for honey-blonde. Case in point, check out Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lopez. However, lovely ladies ladies like Rachel Bilson, Kristen Stewart and Leighton Meester have chosen a more interesting path and have lightened up their base colour by one shade, resulting in a warm russet tone.

Leighton Meester also joined the Vegas bunch a couple of days later donning a rose lip and Pamela Anderson and Kim Kardashian kept things cool-toned in LA.

At Saturday's 2009 KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball in Los Angeles, actresses Leighton Meester, Kristin Cavallari and Stephanie Pratt rocked the red carpet in dramatic winged eye makeup. Leighton's sultry punk look was a mix of shadow and liner, whilst Kristen's was polished with long lashes and black liner paired with red lipstick, a style we don't typically see on her. Stephanie's makeup was a bit less serious with metallic coppery-gold eye liner and extra lush false lashes contrasted with pale pink lips.

Sarah Harding celebrated her birthday over the weekend with a party at her night spot, Kanaloa. She wore a Spring 2009 Preen dress to the party, which we saw much earlier in the year on Leighton Meester at a Nylon party. Leighton wore hers with strappy sandals whilst Sarah went for slightly chunkier heels and a gold clutch.

The 2009 Primetime Emmy's took place last night celebrating some of the biggest names on the small screen. Amongst those on the red carpet were Gossip Girl stars Leighton Meester and Blake Lively. Both girls have always had very different styles and last night was no exception as Leighton wore a long white gown and Blake went for a red number.
