Plenty of fashionable females hit the red carpet last night to celebrate GQ Men of the Year Awards in London. Jessie J debuted her new look shorter hair as she posed in a floor-length tuxedo jacket dress, and Woman of the Year Lana Del Rey also took the occasion to show off her darker locks, which contrasted with her Wayne Cooper cream gown and Salvatore Ferragamo clutch. Katherine Jenkins was one of four women dressed by Stella McCartney — Olympian Victoria Pendleton and socialite Heather Kerzner also wore black dresses from the British designer's London Evening Collection, while Louise Redknapp chose a jacquard brocade-print dress and the designer herself donned a black strapless jumpsuit from her spring 2013 range. Take a look at all of the other attendees here, including Kylie Minogue, Kelly Brook and more, and tell me who was most fab!
V Festival took place in Chelmsford and Staffordshire this weekend, bringing with it plenty of Summer style as performers and celebrity guests enjoyed the hot weather in a variety of sundresses, shorts and sunnies. Famous audience members like Kelly Brook and Katherine Jenkins showed off their festival outfits in the Mahiki Coconut Lounge, while Pixie Lott and Rita Ora packed plenty of changes as they took to the stage and hung out backstage. Today in London, Kate Middleton attended an Olympics exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in a stunning Stella McCartney Crepe Dress (£515). The bright blue shade is a departure from the Duchess of Cambridge's more usual pastel palette and captures the Summer spirit perfectly. On Tuesday in New York, Blake Lively wore a Marc by Marc Jacobs silk number in the same colour on the set of Gossip Girl, while earlier this month Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins donned a similarly hued maxi for the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards in London. Wimbledon 2012 came to a close yesterday bringing with it the most stylish attendees at the men's final. Victoria Beckham embraced the tennis tournament's colours in a bottle green and black v-neck stripe dress from her own Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, which she teamed with unseasonable Tom Ford knee-high black boots and crocodile skin bag. Pippa Middleton worked the peplum trend in her Phoebe Bluebird Dress (£175) from Dannii Minogue's Project D line, while Kate Middleton was recycling her wardrobe yet again in a Joseph tweed Nessie jacket, first seen at the Epsom Derby last year, over a Joseph sleeveless cream dress, which she wore during her North American tour. The Duchess of Cambridge accessorised with a Diane von Furstenberg leopard print clutch and her favourite LK Bennett Sledge heels, and even borrowed her sister's Givenchy sunglasses. The Saturdays' Rochelle Wiseman, meanwhile, wore a colourful M Missoni Stripe Dress (£389) and nude wedges. The Queen celebrated her Diamond Jubilee this weekend with a trip to the races then an historic ride down the Thames. Kate Middleton stole the show at Sunday's River Pageant in a red Alexander McQueen dress and Sylvia Fletcher hat from James Lock & Co. Her beau Prince William was smart in his uniform complete with blue sash, and the guest of honour herself Queen Elizabeth completed the Union Jack trio of shades in her ivory Angela Kelly coat and dress. Pippa Middleton was on another boat with the rest of the Duchess of Cambridge's family in a navy outfit by Orla Kiely. On Saturday, the Queen and members of the Royal family including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie attended the Epsom Derby where Katherine Jenkins performed. This week, the UK has been enjoying a heat wave (about time!) resulting in a rush for a Summer dress, with stripes being the print du jour. Yesterday in London, Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding dressed for the hot weather in a Clover Canyon Sunset Cork Dress (£255), while across the pond in New York Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins donned a Ted Baker Sunset Stripe Silk Dress (£158.99) for her appearance on Live With Kelly. The day before, Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton turned up for work in a pink and purple Jersey Dip Dye Maxi Dress (£49) from her own Very collection, which she layered with a matching tshirt. Last night in London, Amanda Holden looked like a gorgeous Jean Paul Gaultier perfume bottle in her J'Aton Couture dress with mullet hem sheer skirt for the first Britain's Got Talent live semi-final. Over in New York City on Friday night, Alexa Chung embraced the translucent trend in a Mulberry gathered lace dress in nightshade tiger devore while across on the West Coast, Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins also went for the see-through look at a BritWeek event in Beverly Hills. The sheer style was a big hit at Oscars afterparties after the trend filled the Spring catwalks and is showing no sign of slowing down. Shop my selections below, and let me know whose see-through style delights you most!
This week, I've been inspired by British style on both sides of the Atlantic from the likes of Tali Lennox, Katherine Jenkins and Alexa Chung. Tali was a wonder in white Sophia Kokosalaki at the Women For Women International Gala in London, while Katherine went with the neon and floral trend in LA. Over on the East Coast, Alexa dazzled in Mulberry at the Frieze Project Artists dinner in NYC. There's plenty more from the best dressed of the week, so click through to see every fashionable moment and tell me who was your best dressed!
After the men, women, and couples walked the Brit Awards red carpet and watched the performances at the show last night, they headed to the afterparties to celebrate all the winners. Universal held their party at the Savoy Hotel and attracted a stellar crowd, including Robbie Williams and Ayda Field, Mark Owen and Emma Ferguson, and Emma and Matt Willis. Katherine Jenkins posed with Jason Orange, and host James Corden posed solo. Lots of women partied at the Savoy, including Heidi Range, Cheryl Cole, Fearne Cotton, Jessie J, Pixie Lott, and Paloma Faith. Paloma also enjoyed the Sony do at The Gaucho O2, alongside Leigh Francis, Paddy McGuinness, Olly Murs, Kimberly Wyatt, and Taio Cruz. Chipmunk and Matt Cardle looked happy to hang out at The Gaucho. Mark Ronson performed at the War Child party at O2 Indigo, while Professor Green and Corrine Bailey Rae were at EMI's bash, where Eliza Doolittle helped Tinie Tempah celebrate his awards.
Katherine Jenkins has that newly engaged glow about her on the Brit Awards red carpet tonight. The opera singer has chosen bright red lipstick and striking eyelashes. She's wearing her long blonde hair in a side-parting with a gentle wave down her back. Do you like her look?
