Last night, Scottish actress, model and Doctor Who star Karen Gillan arrived looking lovely at the 57th Evening Standard Theatre Awards. Her outfit was chic, edgy and feminine in a satin black bubble skirt and cream lace long sleeve top, yet it was her makeup that stole the show. Her face was porcelain and perfect with creamy rose lips, black eyeliner and a strong dose of coppery eye shadow to complement her long red hair. The look was so striking that it made me wonder if you match your makeup to your hair colour?

Karen Gillan is definitely making a name for herself as as style icon. The Doctor Who actress has a cool personal style, which gets her noticed on the red carpet. Last night, she attended the TV Choice Awards wearing a Nanette Lepore dress with Georgina Goodman ankle boots. The Oscar platform boots (£599) were just one of the items that Karen bought on a recent shopping trip to the Georgina Goodman. She also bought the Darcy (£575) and Dax (£450) heels. I love these ankle boots with the statement platform and I think they look fab on Karen. Do you like these boots?
