The 2012 London Olympics have come to a close! The closing ceremony wrapped up in London last night, and there were many famous Brits who took part in the fun. The theme was a celebration of British music, and British bands Muse, the Spice Girls, George Michael, The Who, and even the guys of One Direction were on stage! The production included a particularly optimistic note from Monty Python's Eric Idle with "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life."

There was also a tribute to British fashion, with models Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and Karen Elson strutting their stuff. The royals were in attendance to see the spectacle, with Kate Middleton and Prince Harry having prime seats. Check out all the closing ceremony pictures here!

Kate Moss, Georgia Jagger, & Karen Elson Have an Olympic Model Moment

Kate Moss was one of eight British models to strut her stuff at the Olympics Closing Ceremony last night. She - along with Georgia Jagger, Stella Tennant, Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Lily Cole, Lily Donaldson, and Jourdan Dunn - were wheeled out into the stadium inside billboard-sized images of themselves. They burst through the paper to reveal themselves in the flesh, clad in various gold-toned dressed designed by British designers. David Gandy was the lone male model to join the group. Kate wore a gown by her late friend Alexander McQueen, while Georgia wore something from Victoria Beckham. The gang made their way around Olympic Stadium to a medley of David Bowie songs, including his tune "Fashion."

The Olympics came to an end last night with a spectacular closing ceremony featuring the best of British music and fashion alongside all those fantastic sporting achievements. Our major models including Lily Cole, Lily Donaldson, Stella Tennant, Karen Elson, Jourdan Dunn, Georgia May Jagger and Naomi Campbell broke out of billboards to walk the Union Jack stage in outfits by a variety of our country's top designers, with Kate Moss looking stunning in McQueen.

Jessie J went for a nude catsuit and leotard by Vivienne Westood for her performances, and Kate Middleton's final Olympics outfit was a rewear of her Whistles Bella dress. The Spice Girls joined together in updated versions of their previous style personas, with Victoria Beckham in a mullet hem custom made Giles Deacon gown. Emeli Sande, Annie Lennox and Darcey Bussell all took to the stage in stunning costumes too, so take a look at them all here and tell me who was most fab at the London 2012 Games closing ceremony!

Supermodel Karen Elson Designing Collection For Nine West

Karen Elson, supermodel, singer, songwriter, wife to White Stripes singer Jack White, and mother of two, can now add designer to her impressive resume. She is collaborating with Nine West on a Fall 2011 collection of accessories for its Vintage America line, according to WWD. While we've only seen sketches of her designs, it's said to be based on her vintage-inspired style, and we immediately thought of two editorials where Elson's style was most prominent: a Nylon shoot last June that was shot by her twin sister Kate and a Vogue shoot, shot by Annie Leibowitz, featuring her and Jack White together. Both show her love of vintage femininity and, while the model is British not American, we can see the connection to vintage Americana. Last night's Met Gala was a feast for the sartorial eyes. The dominant colors of the evening - red, nude, and gold - were at opposite ends of the color spectrum, but they carried an equally big impact. Some stars chose sexy red gowns, some mixed nude tones with a bit of sparkle, and others went for pure gold. Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson shined in their gilded dresses, while Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldridge and Kristen Bell were a vision in liquid gold. Tonight's Met Gala theme was Savage Beauty, honoring the late Alexander McQueen, so it was fitting that some of McQueen's closest friends and fans donned his designs on the red carpet. Models and celebrities, like Gisele Bundchen, Daphne Guinness, and Naomi Campbell all showed off different looks from McQueen's past collections.
