Shop Floral Jewellery Ahead of The Chelsea Flower Show

I love a good theme, so why not accessorise around the festivities.

I love a good theme, so why not accessorise around the festivities. The Chelsea Flower Show kicks off in London on the 21st - 25th of May and in honour of all of the lovely greens, flowers and fabulous people that we are about to see, I've gathered some of my favourite floral jewels for you to shop. Everyone loves pretty pastel petals in Springtime, so these looks, although on-trend are also quite timeless.

I'm excited to report that the very stylish British singer Florence Welch has just released a capsule collection of art-deco style jewellery on her Flotique e-commerce website that is inspired by her latest album called "Ceremonials." We can see for sure that her Cage Ring (£20) is derived from the bird cage tattoo she has on her middle finger, but as for the rest of the range, it is filled with a total of seven necklaces, earrings and a bracelet that cost between £20-50. Check out all of the items here and let me know which piece you covet most.

Get Kate Middleton's Classy Pearl and Diamond Earrings

Royal jewellery is always something that piques my interest because I wonder if everything they wear is an heirloom with a powerful special meaning, or if the Royals buy their own special baubles.

Royal jewellery is always something that piques my interest because I wonder if everything they wear is an heirloom with a powerful special meaning, or if the Royals buy their own special baubles. The latter is the case for the Duchess of Cambridge who has been seen spotted wearing these beautiful Eclipse Porcupine Hoop Earrings (£795) paired with Classic Baroque Pearl Earring Drops (£295) from famed jeweller Annoushka Ducas. If you were princess for a day, what jewellery would you like to wear?

Palladium to Top Jewellery Podium Thanks to London Fashion Week Collaboration

We might currently be obsessing over gold, silver and bronze what with the Olympics, but all that's set to change come September.

We might currently be obsessing over gold, silver and bronze what with the Olympics, but all that's set to change come September. The British Fashion Council has announced a new collaboration called the Rock Vault Dozen, which will see 12 jewellers design a ring created from precious metal Palladium. Said rings will then be showcased in an exhibit curated by Stephen Webster as part of the BFC’s Rock Vault during London Fashion Week. London-based jewellery talent taking part includes Alexandra Jefford, Fernando Jorge, Hannah Martin, Hillier, Husam El Odeh, Imogen Belfield, Jo Hayes Ward, Jordan Askill, Melanie Georgacopoulos, Sophie Bille Brahe, Tomasz Donocik and Yunus and Eliza. Stephen Webster said:

"The Rock Vault Dozen is the first incentive illustrating how this extraordinary platform for emerging, British-based jewellery talent can embrace and collaborate with the ever changing economics of the industry. Palladium, an ancient metal with newly acquired precious status, therefore new to many, is introduced to the consumer through the creative genius of the designers within Rock Vault. BFC, the panel and the International Palladium Board are very excited by the exceptional level of creativity generated by the RVD and look forward to the unveiling during the upcoming LFW.”

Three of the designers are also working with the International Palladium Board to create capsule collections made from Palladium for SS13. Will your next rock be made of Palladium?

Jewellery is a great way to personalise an outfit, but buying it on the High Street can leave you with some unoriginal pieces. Fortunately, the internet allows small designers to showcase their wares and ship them to you! Carlitta Monchitta is a great place to pick up some gorgeous earrings. The designs are original and handmade with pretty studs featuring fabric prints or small flowers. They're very affordable (around £5.99) and would make a cool gift for a girl friend. London based jewellery designer Stephen Einhorn has been having fun with classic British imagery for his latest collection. The London themed pieces include pendants like a bowler hat, pigeon and a tea cup and saucer. There are also bracelet, rings and earrings which are inspired by different parts of the English capital. Stephen's designs are available in a selection of different metals which vary the cost. I am a fan of the bowler hat pendant (from £189) and the bulldog charm (from £97). Do you like these quirky designs?
