Last night in Hollywood, a long list of famous faces lined the red carpet to promote the new romantic comedy Valentine's Day. The men looked dapper as ever in suits and bright smiles, whilst the ladies were decked out in gowns, cocktail dresses and dazzling hair and makeup. Two popular hairstyles of the evening were updos (check out Emma Roberts, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel), and long, loose waves like we see below on Julia, Demi, Jessica, Jen, Garcelle and Rebecca.

On Saturday, running errands in Los Angeles, Jessica Alba was spotted with even shorter hair than we've recently seen her don at the People's Choice Awards just two weeks ago. Come to think of it, Jess has been playing with her hair a lot lately. First she went on a colouring binge going from brown to blonde to red to dark brown again, and then she cut it gradually from long, to shoulder length, to chin length.

When I look at Jessica Alba I don't see any flaws whatsoever, but in the latest issue of Self Magazine, the lovely Latina reveals that she embraces her stretch marks. What stretch marks I ask? I certainly can't see any!

Since the makeup at the People's Choice Awards Show last night was mostly comprised of smoky eyes and nude lips (an awards show favourite), thank goodness, the hairstyles were a little bit more spectacular. Young stars like Jessica Alba (donning a darker than ever colour), Diane Kruger and Carrie Underwood all opted for shoulder sweeping healthy looking hair that was loosely waved yet still relaxed. Out of these three lovely ladies' looks, who do you think rocked their mid-length waves best?

With winter upon us, even the ladies of Los Angeles are ditching their bleach blonde locks and opting for a more low-maintenance look during these less sunny months. I think all of these women look beautiful and they inspire me to want to change up my own hair more often. Check out Audrina Patridge, Jessica Alba, Petra Nemcova, Ashlee Simpson and Nicole Richie who have all dyed their do's darker recently, and vote on which of them you think looks best as a brunette!

Jessica Alba has givien me quite a lot to write about from a beauty standpoint in the past couple of weeks. First, she wore bright red lipstick to a political dinner, and while some of you liked it, a surprising 76% of you preferred her in pale pink lipstick. Then yesterday she was spotted walking around Los Angeles with a brand-new bright red hair colour.

Last night at the White Ribbon Alliance Dinner in New York City, Jessica Alba charmed the red carpet with a perky cherry-red pout and a slicked back bun. The day before, she let her hair fall in soft waves, and sported a more casual fresh face with a hint of pink stain on her lips. Even earlier in the week, at the Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2010 Fashion Show, she showed up backstage with a sexy pale pucker and a whole lotta lashes.

When celebrities are not on duty, they can be spotted looking stylish in a pair of jeans. Some celebrities, including Kristen Stewart, even wear jeans on the red carpet for a rock chick look. The secret to looking good in denim is choosing the right label and JBrand seems to be the most popular choice in recent months.

All of this back and forth is making it difficult to keep up with Mrs. Warren's salon's visits as she's constantly ping-ponging between blonde and brown hair. Yesterday she was spotted shopping for sunnies and getting her nails done with a bleachy, almost yellowy shade of golden locks but just four days before she attended the BET pre-show awards dinner with dark hair. I like her better au natural (yes, by that I mean as a brunette) — how about you?

Today I conclude my sunglasses posts with advice for oval face shaped ladies. If you're lucky enough to me amongst these then the good news is that you can wear any shape of sunglasses! Yep, that's right, oval shaped faces have the most balanced proportions so all shapes and sizes will suit you.
