Trend Alert: Printed Skinny Jeans
Skinny jeans are getting a jazzy makeover for Spring 2010 as they begin to rival leggings in terms of patterns. Skinny jeans and jeggings are now adorned with floral and animal prints providing a new twist on the wardrobe staple.
You can chose between a bright, statement pair like Peter Jensen's floral style (£140), or go for something more subtle like Topshop's grey floral pair (£45).
Trend Alert: Pink Skinny Jeans
You are probably already aware that neutral and flesh tones are big news for Spring. They featured heavily on the catwalks, most recently at the Chanel couture show, and are perfect for getting in to the new season spirit.

Skinny jeans have become a wardrobe essential (check out my ten favourite pairs for under £100 here) and this season they're turning grey. Stars like Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss have already worn the lighter shade which is great for easing you in to your Spring wardrobe.
It's important to choose your jeans carefully because too much shading on grey jeans can be very unflattering.

Over the past few weeks, I have rediscovered my love for skinny jeans. It might just be because of the cold weather, but something about this by-now classic denim shape really appeals to me. I've been wearing mine with lace up ankle boots and heels to make them more flattering, and teaming them with vintage t-shirts or chunky knits.

Every season needs a pair of jeans and this Spring I have noticed an increasing amount of motorcycle jeans on offer. This is the legwear that is made of hard denim with knee pads (possibly quilted) and a skinny leg.

Earlier this year Balmain's £1000 ripped jeans caused quite a stir and although I find their price tag quite ridiculous, I can't shake the idea of ripped jeans from my mind! Fortunately for me, you can now get a very stylish pair for a lot less than that.

How Many Pairs of Jeans Do You Own?
Victoria Beckham's Spring DVB line has just launched at MyWardrobe and she spoke to them about denim and her favourite jeans styles. She emphasised the influence of high fashion saying, "We always take the international runways into account for each collection."
The new DVB pieces highlight Victoria's idols with a pair of ankle skimming jeans named after Audrey Hepburn and a pair of sunglasses inspired by Jackie Onassis.

We may well be in the midst of a credit crunch, but the world's most expensive pair of jeans has just gone on sale. Christophe Decarnin at Balmain is clearly not concerned with financial worries as he launches a range of jeans over £1000!

Love it or Hate it: Natalie Appleton's Bright Jeans
I recently asked you if you were still wearing bright skinny jeans and you gave a mixed response. Seems that Natalie Appleton is still backing the trend as she stepped out to party last night in bright orange skinny jeans and black boots. She tried to tone down the bright shade by teaming the trousers with a dark top and jacket but they're still quite overwhelming.
