The latest installment in the James Bond franchise is already breaking box office records around the globe. Skyfall made an estimated $77.7 million in international ticket sales last weekend alone. The cast is heading to the States for the North American leg of their press tour soon. They're expected on the West Coast next week, leading into the Nov. 9 US release of the film.

The Skyfall duo swung by the studio for Le Grand Journal to chat about the latest installment of Bond, and also managed to poke fun at Bond's new preference for Heineken by toasting with two beers. Daniel spoke about Bond trading martinis for beer in October's Vanity Fair. He said, "Product placement, whichever way you look at it . . . it's what it is. Heineken gave us a ton of money for there to be Heineken in a shot in a bar. So, how easy is that? Just to say, OK, there's Heineken. It's there — it's in the back of the shot. Without them, the movie couldn't get sold." Javier and Daniel had a busy day of promotions to do following the Paris premiere of Skyfall on Wednesday night. They linked up with their leading lady Bérénice Marlohe for a photocall at a Paris hotel as well.

Also along for the Skyfall press tour are Javier's wife, Penélope Cruz, and their, son Leo. The family touched down together at a Paris airport earlier today, just ahead of the big premiere.

Javier's 007 duties will continue as the action film is being released in the UK on Friday and heads to US theaters on Nov. 9.

Bond fans, rejoice! Work on the 23rd film in the series, Skyfall, has started, and the cast and crew gathered together in London for a photocall in celebration of the event. Leading man Daniel Craig joined up with director Sam Mendes and new Bond girls, France's Bérénice Marlohe and Britain's Naomie Harris, to smile for the cameras. James Bond villan Javier Bardem was there as well, lending his good looks to the cast.
Sam and the actors posed for photos then sat down for a press conference, which was planned to take place on the anniversary of the day that Sean Connery was announced as the first Bond. They also shared the official synopsis for the film, which is that, "Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. . . as MI6 comes under attack." Sam Mendes had more on the plot, saying, "It, I think, has all the elements of a classic Bond movie, including, to quell any rumors, a lot of action." Work on Bond 23 had been stalled for a long time due to financing problems at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios. Now, though, things are going into full gear with Sony and MGM financing the shoot in London, Shanghai, Istanbul, and Scotland with a release date next Fall.

She was joined by her handsome husband, Javier Bardem, who looked on with pride while she accepted her honor and later knelt down for photos with his own prestigious star. Spain's Walk of Fame, which officially opened today, recognized 25 of the country's actors and directors, like Penelope and Javier's close friend Pedro Almodovar and Antonio Banderas. Today's event marks her second accolade of the year after Penelope received a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame in April. Penelope and Javier's number one fan, their 6-month-old son Leo, wasn't in attendance for the event, though he did get a visit recently from his uncle Eduardo who brought girlfriend Eva Longoria home for a few days.
