Trend Alert: Eyelet Bags
Accessories are taking a retro turn this Spring as a new form of embellishment helps to give bags an '80s feel. Eyelets are appearing on many different shapes and colours of bags from sleek clutches at Jimmy Choo (£487) to bigger totes (£723) at Marni.
The trend is taking the High Street by storm too with duffle (£30) and shopper styles (£24).
Do You Personalise Your Accessories?
Fearne Cotton was spotted grabbing some lunch earlier this week with her studded handbag. The radio and TV presenter customised her accessory slightly by tying a long funky skull print Alexander McQueen scarf to it.
I have been known to add scarves to my handbag to create a similar look, and there are many other ways for your to customise including using badges and applique studs.
Trend Alert: True Blue Bags
Why not brighten up a dull Winter's day with a fun accessory? This Spring there are plenty of blue handbags on offer which will add a pop of colour to your wardrobe.
I particularly love this classic Balenciaga city bag (£945).

Hobo bags are one of the main types of handbags along with tote and clutch, but what exactly is a hobo bag and what makes it unique from other types of arm candy?
It is defined as, "A style of handbag or purse that is typically large and characterized by a crescent shape, a slouchy posture and a long strap designed to wear over the shoulder. Hobo bags are made out of soft, flexible materials and tend to slump, or slouch, when set down."

Fashion accessories have had a romantic turn this season as heart shaped items have dominated the High Street. First there were the Lolita sunglasses which were popular with celebs and mere mortals alike. It has now developed and it's playful heart shaped bags which are en vogue.

A lot of designers have added a touch of glamour to their collections this year with a bright gold handbag.
The metallic accessory is eye catching and a great way to brighten up a daytime ensemble, especially on a grey day.
My favourite is Mulberry's Mabel (£525) which has a disco feel to it.
Trend Alert: Tassle Handbags
Whilst out and about on the High Street, I have noticed a growing number of tassles adorning handbags. I find the addition slightly distracting and if I see a friend with the style, I feel the need to play with the adornment slightly!
The distraction aside, I like the style and think it's a great way to give your accessories a unique feel.
