Kate Middleton made three public appearances in the days leading up to her first wedding anniversary on Sunday, and her hair was shiny and lustworthy as ever. I was particularly taken by the curly half up half down style the Duchess of Cambridge sported on Thursday evening at the Imperial War Museum. Although, the most prevalent hairstyle at the Golden Globes was the updo, I loved the way that Paula Patton, Diane Kruger, Penelope Cruz and Jennifer Garner wore their hair too. This Old Hollywood, retro-curled, half up, half down look is classic, elegant and stylish. Plus, if you're a fan of the jewels, it also allows you to adorn your hair in diamond clips, or whatever else you fancy. Out of these three actresses, whose hair do you think looked best last night?

Last night at the Sixth Annual Leather And Laces Celebration after the Super Bowl in Florida, sexy celebrities Carmen Electra and Kim Kardashian battled the red carpet donning the same hairdo. This modern take on the half up, half down look, where just a section at the top of the crown gets pinned back, is one of Carmen's favourites (she wore it this way on her wedding day). I love it too, as it's a practical way to keep your hair out of your eyes, but still maintain an all-down appearance. I like how Kim has some volume at her roots, whilst Carmen goes for more of a slick and taught style. Whose hair you think looked best on Super Bowl Sunday?
