Trend Alert: Lime Nail Lacquers For Spring

I know it's a bit early to think about Spring, but believe it or not, collections are already beginning to launch, despite the fact that Christmas isn't even upon us.
Trendy Lime Nail Lacquers For Spring 2012

I know it's a bit early to think about Spring, but believe it or not, collections are already beginning to launch, despite the fact that Christmas isn't even upon us. However, since I'm such a softie for trends, here's a peek at the hottest new nail lacquer shade for next season.

Here's a hint: It's thirst quenching, popular in Springtime floral patterns and ranges from pastel to fluorescent. Did I getcha? The answer is none other than lime green. Dior is coming out with a Garden Party Collection that consists of two shades: a soft green and a light mauve. The green is called Water Lily and it contains a soft scent of roses that has been formulated to last up to four days — pretty cool! Next up is a lighter lime tone called Navigate Her from Essie, and lastly there's Thanks A Windmillion from OPI's Spring Holland Collection. Out of these three hues, which do you favour?

Beauty Brands Go Green For St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day is nearly here and for those of you who plan to tip a few back at a pub tomorrow, there's nothing more festive than adding a bit of green to your beauty regime!

St. Patrick's Day is nearly here and for those of you who plan to tip a few back at a pub tomorrow, there's nothing more festive than adding a bit of green to your beauty regime! I love this unassuming Wintry sage Nail Colour in Hunting from Topshop (£5). It has an olive tone and is both fast drying and super glossy.

However, if you're looking for something a little brighter, FabSugarUK is currently sporting this fun candy-green shade from Nails Inc. called Seven Dials (which is typically £11, but is on sale now for £9.90).

We've looked at 10 pretty ways to get green for tomorrow's celebrations, but below are some amazing green-coloured products you can use to make it happen — have fun and please act responsibly tomorrow (I'm just saying)!

Best of 2009: Green Nail Varnish

I hope you're enjoying the results of this year's 2009 Sugar Awards as much as I am.

I hope you're enjoying the results of this year's 2009 Sugar Awards as much as I am. I get so excited when I can finally reveal the truth behind the beauty products, fragrances and websites that you've been enjoying most this year. As we know, green nail polish has made its way into the mainstream recently, and Chanel's limited-edition Jade colour has a lot to do with it. Jade was not only your first choice for greatest green polish, but it's mine too. The other top picks were OPI's, Hey! Get in Lime and Essie's Mint Candy tying for second place. Tell me, are you still painting your nails green, or was this just more of a passing Autumn trend?

Green nail polish isn't just for Halloween and the Wicked Witch of the West anymore!

Green nail polish isn't just for Halloween and the Wicked Witch of the West anymore! It has become a mainstream colour that's taken off to the point of no return — and it's no wonder why. Back in September, Chanel first introduced Jade, a minty green varnish that created outrageous buzz from the moment it was seen on the Paris catwalk. The must-have frenzy became even more out of control selling out immediately — and you had to know someone just to get on a waiting list! Other brands have since followed suit with more accessible and certainly less expensive similar shades. Check out my gallery of green nail colours and let me know which one is your favourite.
