Over-the-knee or thigh-high boots have come a long way since Pretty Woman. They're now a style staple in Winter, but knowing how to choose the perfect pair — and how to wear them for both day and night — can be tricky. Take your cue from celebrity boot fans like Kim Kardashian, Rachel Zoe, and Jenna Dewan, who team then with skinny jeans, thick tights, and longer hemlines that skim the top of the boots, so the look is less peekaboo and more covered up. The good news is that every taste is catered for this season with with no shortage of flat leather styles, soft slouchy suedes, sexy stiletto heels, and comfy wedges at all price points. "Because in the fashion industry color serves ornamental and aesthetic functions vital to robust competition, the court finds that Louboutin is unlikely to be able to prove that its red outsole brand is entitled to trademark protection, even if it has gained enough public recognition in the market to have acquired secondary meaning," wrote Judge Victor Marrero in his ruling. Tell us, do you think this is the right ruling? Or, should Christian Louboutin be granted his trademark protection against his popular red-sole shoes?
Loafers have experienced a major resurgence thanks to designers like Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg, and Nicholas Kirkwood, who showed them on their Fall runways — and the trend is only getting stronger. Whether you prefer them stacked or flat, we think they're the perfect transition shoe leading up to chillier weather. For the ultimate nerdy-chic look, pair loafers with cuffed jeans and a blazer for a casual off-duty vibe, or go for extra throwback drama and don them with a tweedy pencil skirt and a flowy tucked-in blouse. Flip through to see our top loafer picks right now from Topshop, Tory Burch, ASOS, and more.

Since its inception in 2007, Charlotte Olympia has gained a cult following from shoe hounds such as Olivia Palermo, Caroline Sieber, Reese Witherspoon, and we're sure many more. For Resort 2012, designer Charlotte Olympia Dellal highlighted her signature two-inch front platform in a bevy of jewel-toned hues, glamorous gold finishes, and sleek satin — perfect for that girl looking to add a little extra height and major oomph to her look. H&M seems to be focusing on homegrown Swedish talent for 2011 as it unveils plans for its next collaboration. H&M have just announced that they are working with cult shoe brand Swedish Hasbeens on a collection for Spring 2011. The label are famous for chunky heeled wooden clogs. They are produced using environmentally friendly materials in a traditional Swedish style from the '70s. H&M have already announced plans this year to work with Swedish blogger Elin Kling, so I wonder which other Swedish brands they have on the horizon? I would love to see them work with a label like Acne. Click through to see the Swedish Hasbeens for H&M designs.

Even though the snow has melted, I still can't seem to part with my sheepskin boots. I have a couple of pairs, but am always impressed by the way Emu boots cope with the wet weather. Unlike other brands, they don't get water marked and they keep your toes toasty warm. This January, the Australian brand is opening a pop-up shop for just one month. It's in London at 47 Lamb’s Conduit Street (WC1N 3NG) and is open 10am - 6pm. Will you be checking it out?
Throughout 2010, there have been some amazing killer heels on the red carpet and on the party scene. Celebrities rarely leave home without their favourite pair and the styles often catch my eye. I love heels too. They look amazing and sometimes can be considered works of art! This year, Nicholas Kirkwood and Charlotte Olympia have been two names which just keep popping up. They join classic footwear designers Christian Louboutin and Brian Atwood who have long been red carpet favourites. Alexander McQueen's gravity defying shoes have also made the headlines this year and I'm a sucker for Balenciaga's heels. Out of these six designers, which do you think deserves to be crowned best of 2010?
It's only December, but the UK has already seen extreme snow, freezing fog and temperatures lower than Moscow. This kind of icy weather requires some good, solid footwear which will stop your toes from freezing up! I have rounded up some of my favourite styles to help you through the rest of Winter.
