Step back in time with me to the beginnings of affordable fashion, the time of the miniskirt, Mary Quant and Twiggy. It was the era when the Kings Road and Carnaby Street were swinging, well, almost! This short video below brings together some of the key styles of the 1960s as models dance around in thigh skimming mini skirts and swing coats.

Even though the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards took place a week ago, the hair, makeup, nails, fashion and accessories that we saw on the red carpet will be a part of our style history forever. Whilst FabSugarUS and BellaSugarUS posted live polls on each of the stars as they arrived, FabSugarUK and I have taken a tally at some of the hottest trends and gathered them in a nice little package for your review. Some of my favourite looks from the night include a tanned and sexy Kate Hudson, and an elegantly dressed Diane Kruger, but I'm curious to find out whose looks you like the most.

English fashion and textile designer Zandra Rhodes has made history in London with her one-time Fullham Road shops and the opening of the Fashion and Textile Museum which she founded in 2003. She's designed for Princess Diana and has a wide UK, US and Australian following. However, aside from her designs making a statement, she's known to stand out with pink hair, bold blue eyeshadow and orange lipstick.

As far as I'm concerned, if you're not going to be one of classics this Halloween, then why not be a pop star for the night! Ladies like Chery Cole, Katy Perry, Lily Allen and Lady Gaga have topped the charts this year and have made fashion and beauty history with their out-of-the-box beauty looks.

There has been a lot of criticism recently surrounding the lack of ethnic diversity in the fashion industry. Italian Vogue attempted to make a difference with it's now famous black issue for July 2008 and now PPQ have made their own space in history with a catwalk show that only used black models. Sessilee Lopez (who took part in the Vogue Italia issue) was just one of the faces to model the Nubian inspired collection.

There are many films that are released this Autumn which I am excited about, but none am I as intrigued about as Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. It was Heath Ledger's final movie as he met his untimely death whilst it was still being filmed, but I am also excited to see Lily Cole in her first major acting role.
This weekend, Lily spoke to The Sunday Times about the movie, relationships, the changing face of fashion and studying at Cambridge University.

When you think of 2008, which dress springs to mind? Maybe it's Herve Leger's bandage dress, Gareth Pugh's dramatic designs or Balmain's rock chick gowns. Well, none of these dresses have been awarded this week as Bath's Fashion Museum awarded model-turned-designer Kate Moss' creation with the prestigious title of Dress of the Year.
