BellaSugarUK | July 25, 2010 2:00 pmLancome's head makeup artist Armand Beasely and I had a ton of fun talking about false eyelashes. I was surprised to hear that most celebrities wear them regularly either in strips, in the corners of their eyes, or in pieces here and there to fill in their naturally thin and short lashes. I typically think of them as evening makeup, but Armand disagreed, and showed me how to incorporate them into my daily life.Read More
BellaSugarUK | November 3, 2009 10:30 amLast night, Agyness Deyn joined Lady Gaga and Diane von Furstenberg among others at the ACE Awards Gala in New York City. Agyness, still donning ultra-dark hair, showed off a more polished coif that usual, however what was most interesting about her look wasn't her hair, accessories or clothing — it was her makeup! Wearing feather black false eyelashes, on the bottoms of her eyes as opposed to the tops, from a distance it appears that her eyes are shut when they are actually wide open.Read More
BellaSugarUK | October 9, 2009 9:59 amTry and look past Paris Hilton kissing a chimpanzee, and check out the heavy duty false lashes that she's sporting to a bowling alley in New York. Lots of celebrities like Eva Longoria and Cheryl Cole wear falsies all the time, but I typically reserve them for special, fancy occasions. Let me know in a comment below often you take the time to apply false eyelashes.Read More
BellaSugarUK | February 17, 2009 5:00 pmEyelure has just announced that they will be joining forces with famous British girlband Girls Aloud to create a line of bespoke eyelashes. The girls, who actually wore Eyelure lashes for the duration of their Tangled Up tour last year, have had full input into the project, as they are individually designed based on their personalities and tastes.
Liz Martins (Girls Aloud Makeup Artist) said, "I have been using Eyelure lashes on the girls for years.Read More

BellaSugarUK | September 11, 2008 10:00 amThis summer's hottest makeup trend was undoubtedly the Bright Lights, Bold Colour look which eventually saw Sophie Ellis-Bextor wowing the London club scene in rainbow false lashes and Princess Eugenie dressing as Barbie in neon pink fake eyelashes. It seems that falsies are no longer just for drag queens or fashion shoots, especially when they come in carnival colours.
Right on cue Eyelure have just launched a new line of false lashes in striking jewel colours.Read More
BellaSugarUK | September 2, 2008 12:00 pmPrincess Eugenie was certainly showing off her high-fashion credentials, last night.
She was partying at The Kitts Club in London with oversize, look-at-me false eyelashes in neon pink and a matching hair band.
Not sure if this nu rave beauty look is slightly bordering on fancy dress but it's great to see Eugenie having fun and experimenting with different looks.Read More
BellaSugarUK | July 28, 2008 5:00 pmOK, so I'll admit she looks a little scary in this picture, but Sophie Ellis Bextor was working the bright lights, bold colour trend to the max, as she partied at G-A-Y, this weekend.
I'm definitely not suggesting you go all-out, like Sophie, and copy her drag queen-esque false eyelashes, or rather scary wide-eyed look – but it's great to see a normally fresh-faced, girl-next-door type, working a more on trend, makeup look.
As the new face of Rimmel, you'd expect that Sophie may have been learning some makeup artist tips, as well as how to take her makeup up a notch, for a big party night.Read More
BellaSugarUK | July 1, 2008 2:00 pmIf you want Bambi-esque, come-hither eyes, then sometimes fake lashes are the only way to flutter. They work particularly well at a dressy event, when you're wearing a lot of eye makeup and want to balance out your winged eyeliner with some lengthy lashes. For really natural looking eyelashes, it's better to go for individual falsies, as they have less of the drag queen about them.Read More
Jamie Roy | January 23, 2012 3:28 pmOn the heels of her divorce, Katy Perry has something beautiful to celebrate, namely a collaboration with UK eyelash brand Eyelure to launch a range of four styles of false lashes. The collection will be out in the US this Valentine's Day with a UK launch set for later in the month. Without any glitter or diamante embellishments, the lashes are more Girls Aloud than Sex and the City (both are other Eylure collaborations).Read More
