H&M have today unveiled their 'Garden' collection which sees the store being a little bit more eco. It includes dresses, swimwear, beauty and accessories with a sustainable quality. There is also a charitable edge to some of the pieces as they raise money for UNICEF and Water Aid.

London's Freemason hall was well and truly rocked on Friday afternoon as US label Prophetik launched in the UK. Designed by poet and ex-musician Jeff Garner the collection was made entirely from sustainable fabrics and dyed using vegetables! There was a civil war theme to the pieces which were made from organic cotton, corduroy, hemp, reused silk and greenspun (a fabric created from recycled bottles).

Whilst most of us are just getting to grips with eco fashion and giving ourselves a pat on the back for choosing second hand rather than High Street, Livia Firth is upping the stakes. The wife of Colin made an impressive statement on the red carpet at the Golden Globes as she wore not just an eco friendly gown, but a "re-purposed" wedding dress.
Livia runs an environmentally friendly boutique, Eco Age in West London and explained all about her gown on her Vogue blog, "The re-purposed Christiana Couture wedding dress was a HUGE success in the sense that I don't think I’ve ever had so many compliments for a dress in one night."

Emma Watson is the latest in a long line of celebrities to design a clothing line. Emma joins names like Lily Allen, Kate Moss and Madonna, but there is something that makes her line stand out from the crowd.
The Harry Potter actress has been working with ethical retailer People Tree and explained why, “I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren’t many options out there.”
The collection has been described as, "Hollister jersey blended into American Apparel basics, and topped off with humorous slogans".

Little Boots shot to fame in 2009 and has quickly established herself a household name. She has decided to use her influence for good this year as she begins a campaign with the charity War on Want. Little Boots (aka Victoria Hesketh) is making a stand against sweat shops in the UK and India where workers are exploited.

Leona Lewis is a strict vegetarian and has been rumoured to be creating her own eco fashion line many times. This week the gossip is more specific as it is reported that she has been in talks with Stella McCartney. The two have similar principles as Leona once spoke about how she gave away a Burberry handbag because it was made from leather.

Eco fashion brand TRAIDremade have teamed up with Timberland this season to create a limited edition set of handbags. Typical to TRAIDremade's philosophy they're produced out of recycled denim and leather including reconditioned Timberland shirts and jackets.

Lily Cole recently launched a sheep-friendly knitwear collection which helped rescued animals. She has now upped her eco credentials by becoming part of the Sky Rainforest Rescue campaign. She was posing yesterday at Kew Gardens in West London to launch the project which is aimed at preserving more than three million hectares of trees in Acre, north west Brazil.

On Friday night, Dame Vivienne Westwood once again appeared on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross as she discussed the growing problems with climate change. The designer seemed genuinely upset with the state of the environment and urged everyone to sign up to Prince Charles' campaign to save the rainforest. When asked if these issues overlapped with her own role as a fashion designer Vivienne argued that she was asking people to shop wisely and to wear something (preferably of hers) until it wears out.
