I'm a great believer in getting at least 8 hours of beauty sleep a night, preferably 10 if I can. Bedtime is a great chance to get maximum results from your beauty products, plus it's the only real cure to banish any nasty dark circles under the eyes. However, if like me you worry that getting less than your eight hour dose of shut-eye will cause problems then fear not.

Under-eye dark circles are getting a lot of attention recently - mine are currently extra-stormy due to a dose of prolonged jet lag. Talk about excess baggage. Meanwhile, The New York Times recently reported that they're becoming a growing concern - apparently roughly 53 percent of the 13,000 Clinique users surveyed by the company cited under-eye circles and puffiness as their number one beauty concern.

Brand new from Bobbi Brown is a seriously barely there collection called The Makeup Face Lift. The range includes five new products, two older, limited-edition goodies that are now staples, and one fabulous yet existing pot rouge shade in pink truffle to complement the range. The line was created to give lift, rejuvenate and put life back into your skin with a few neutral-toned products in just a few minutes.

I'm starting to get a little carried away with all the gorgeous beauty goodies that are hitting the shops for Christmas. Despite the threat of the credit crunch, beauty companies are still going all out in producing luxurious gifts and pretty sets that are sure to wing their way to the top of your wish list. If you have a very rich boyfriend, or your family are totally stumped for what to buy you and are happy to club together to get you a gift; then ask for Darphin's Rock & Glam clutch (£350).

I've been singing Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas, since I first set eyes on this Clinique gift set. I know that's ridiculous as it is only the start of November after all. Yet there is something so appealing about starting to plan your Christmas shopping and I'm excited about all the gorgeous beauty offerings that are in stores this season.

Anne Hathaway looked simply stunning at the London Film Festival last night wearing a midnight blue frock to the premiere of Rachel Getting Married. Her makeup looked typically glamorous with an emphasis on her bold brows and a perfect pout.
Anne kept her hair looking glossy yet slightly tousled to give a more relaxed feel.

Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe always comes across as being very down to earth. Not only does she experiment with beauty looks, she also seems comfortable with her body shape. This weekend she talked to Fabulous magazine about being skinny and accepting her flaws.

Now that the Fashion Weeks are over, we can sit back and reflect on some of the key trends. From the gorgeously varied looks at Paris to the edgier styles at London Fashion Week, it's time to start working those trends already. One of my hot tips for next Spring is the bold lip colours seen on the catwalks at Osman Yousefzada, Betty Jackson and Harriet's Muse.
