Last night in London, Graduate Fashion Week came to a close with the Gala Awards. Bath Spa University graduate Chloe Jones not only walked won the womenswear accolade but also picked up the prestigious £20,000 George Gold Award. Earls Court has seen 39 universities, 1,200 applicants and 20,000 visitors pass through the doors this year, with yesterday's Gala Awards and catwalk show a fitting end to the week. Judge Fiona Lambert explained she chose Chloe Jones because of the "soul and attention to detail in each individual garment and incredible workmanship". Her monastic collection, called Our Father Who Art in Heaven, featured stone-grey chiffon, bejewelled sweatshirt hoodies, gossamer maxi gowns and flowing printed skirts.
