JLS and Alexandra Burke Launch a Fashion Label Together

Who knew The X Factor would not only churn out popstars but also fashion designers.

Who knew The X Factor would not only churn out popstars but also fashion designers. As it turns out, Alexandra Burke and boy band JLS have collaborated on a funky, new fashion label called 2KX. Named for the year the label was conceived, its first collection is for Spring/Summer 2011 and consists of urban menswear and womenswear. I caught a glimpse of a few of its pieces last week and especially love the studded leather jacket and body-con dresses. Everything about this brand is flirty and fun. Be prepared, 2KX is so hip, it just might make you want to sing!

Emma Watson's latest foray in to the fashion world is live today as her collaboration with Alberta Ferretti is finally available. Earlier this month, I shared a preview of what to expect of the ethical collection. The 'Pure Threads' pieces are very romantic and include long flowing dresses, peasant top and denim shorts. This range is a higher price point than her work with People Tree as a pair of shorts will set you back £220, whilst a pretty lace dress costs £700. There is a behind-the-scenes video on the website in which Emma states, "This is actually like a dream come true".

Amy Winehouse has been quiet lately and perhaps thats because she has been working on her second collection for Fred Perry. The first was released back in October and stays true to Amy's own style. This season is very similar with '50s inspired pieces with a touch of gingham. There is even a Hawaiian print that features the singer. Prices start from £31 for a scarf and go up to £280 for a jacket. You can shop the collection here. Click through to see pieces from the collection.

Pete Doherty Talks About His Jewellery Line

I usually pride myself on being ahead of the game in fashion and having a pretty good idea of which celebrities will collaborate next, but this one caught me off guard.

I usually pride myself on being ahead of the game in fashion and having a pretty good idea of which celebrities will collaborate next, but this one caught me off guard. Pete Doherty has had quite a low profile in the press lately and definitely lost his appeal in the fashion world after his relationship with Kate Moss broke down. However, last week he made the unusual move of launching a jewellery line with London based jeweller Hannah Martin.

The line is called Albion Trinketry and it was unveiled at Joseph in West London. Doherty commented, "I’m like a magpie really in a lot of ways. I’ve always collected [jewellery], unsuccessfully most of it — you treasure it and it gets lost." The pieces are being sold at quite a high price point. A set of silver cuff links will set you back £425 and a solid rose gold ring will cost you £8,725! Even Doherty said, "I can’t afford to buy them myself. They cost a fortune."
