See Alexa Chung in The Summer Superga Campaign That She Directed

A couple of months ago we heard that Alexa Chung was going to be re-instated as the face of Italian footwear brand Superga since her last stint with brand (as the star of their 100th anniversary collection) was such a success.

A couple of months ago we heard that Alexa Chung was going to be re-instated as the face of Italian footwear brand Superga since her last stint with brand (as the star of their 100th anniversary collection) was such a success. However, the British beauty is taking her role as model two steps further. Not only did she direct the stylish laid-back shoot for the Summer 2012 ad campaign, but she has also become the Creative Director for the label.

She decided to feature the 2750 style sneakers in the adverts that were shot in Miami alongside photographer Guy Aroch. Using an old-fashioned car, her own clothes and the beach background as her props, apparently her only direction from the brand was to "Go create." With TV presenter, fashion icon, Madewell collaborator/designer and model statuses under her belt, perhaps her role as creative director will lead into even more fashionable possiblilites. I for one, am excited to wait and see what's next from Alexa — how about you?

Would You Be Interested in Buying Fashions Designed By Rihanna?

In November, Rihanna worked with Emporio Armani to to create a line of lingerie, jeans and t-shirt's, and apparently she loved the process so much that she repeated her collaboration with them. Now however, it appears that she's gearing up to launch her very own range. This weekend, she told US TV and Radio personality Ryan Seacrest,

"I’m really pursuing a fashion line of my own. I want to design. This is also a road that I want to earn it. So I’m working with designers. Designers that I respect, and [fashion] companies that I respect. I want people to really trust me before I just say 'Buy it, because it’s mine.'"

I don't know about you, but I'd be very excited to see what Rihanna has to offer. With her ever-changing hair colour and her daring stage and street ensembles, I'd be sure bet to believe a clothing range from Ri Ri would be creative, colourful and exciting to say the least. Perhaps it was her inspiration from London Fashion Week that has me wondering if she'll collaborate with a British designer, or work on something entirely her own. Either way, would you be interested in buying clothing designed from Rihanna?

Vera Wang To Launch Cosmetics Line

I was out just one day last week and there's already lots of news to catch up on.

I was out just one day last week and there's already lots of news to catch up on. Not only did I find out about Aggy Deyn and her new fashion collaboration with Dr Martens, but now Vera Wang is set to launch a 74-skew colour cosmetics line. The amazing and super busy Ms. Wang (who already has a dynasty that includes wedding gowns, fragrances, home goods, women’s apparel, handbags, jewellery, sunglasses, footwear, sleepwear and outerwear) teamed up with BeautyBank, part of the Estée Lauder Companies to create a collection called Simply Vera Wang. The line is quite affordable ($16.50 to $39.50 in USD) and the ingredients are intended to be good for your skin too — something Vera is quite particular about.

However, before you get too excited, the range is scheduled for a US launch next month, with a global rollout expected no sooner than 2013 — boo. Oh well, good things come to those who wait. In the meantime, you can certainly let your imagination run wild with the thoughts of a possible nail varnish collection in the works too. Apparently Vera's daughters Josephine and Cecilia are nudging mum to add it to the empire. Are you interested in testing out Simply Vera Wang next year?

Agyness Deyn Models and Designs for Dr Martens

It's been quite some time since we've seen British model Agyness Deyn make a pictorial appearance, but all of that is about to change with the latest campaign launch for Dr Martens shoes. Aggy poses alongside man-candy Ash Stymest in an attempt to resurrect the popular 1990's brand. The ad photos were shot by urban subculture specialist Gavin Watson and titled, "First and Forever."

However, that's not all. As it turns out, Agyness is such a fan of the brand (she bought her first pair when she was just 13), that she is collaborating with them to create a clothing, accessories and footwear line due out globally this Autumn. She tells WWD, "The brand is a great fit for me. It stands for strong character and being able to shape your own personal identity." Are you excited to see what Agyness has to offer consumers?

Geri Halliwell Launches Union Jack Line with Next

In a poll conducted last year, Geri Halliwell's Union Jack mini-dress from the 1997 BRIT Awards, was voted the most iconic dress in the UK in the last 50 years! She ranked over Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Kylie Minogue, Elizabeth Hurley and even Bjork who once wore quite an infamous swan dress.

It's no wonder then, why the former Spice Girl has decided to capitalize on this fame by appealing to the patriotism of the British masses. Yesterday in London, a mere 14 years later, she launched a Union Jack collection with UK High Street retailer Next. Geri can add this range to her lingerie, bikini and red carpet gown lines that she already has in play with the brand that have all proven to be quite popular.

Will you be buying a Union Jack piece from Geri's latest launch?

Holy bananas, it's game on for a fine and unbelievably sculpted looking David Beckham. Check out the little Tuesday teaser that has just been released featuring Mr. Posh Spice in his new Bodywear by David Beckham Collection for H&M skivvies which hits stores on Thursday. This clip is a truncated version of what's to come at this weekend's Super Bowl in America. The game, which also features Madonna in a halftime performance, is going to be on quite late here in the UK, so if you miss it, I'm sure you'll be able to play catch up online the next day. In a press release, David says,

"I'm excited about my bodywear ad featuring in this year's Super Bowl. My design team and I spent 18 months developing the collection, it's been a fantastic collaborative experience and I'm very happy with the end result. Like every fan, I'm looking forward to Super Bowl Sunday."

Will you be buying a special man friend anything from this range for Valentine's Day?

Kate Moss Launches Lipstick Line With Rimmel London

Back in June, I told you that Kate Moss was working on a makeup collaboration with Rimmel London to celebrate her 10-year anniversary as the face of the brand.

Back in June, I told you that Kate Moss was working on a makeup collaboration with Rimmel London to celebrate her 10-year anniversary as the face of the brand. And yesterday, she and a few of her fellow Rimmel spokesmodels gathered at the Battersea Power Station to launch The Kate Moss Lasting Finish Collection. The seven-shade range comes in an edgy, matte-black tube and has her signature in bright red along the side as an extra-special touch.

Kate talks about her new lipsticks saying
,

"My inspiration for this range was really to create easy to wear, classic shades that I have always worn and loved. From bright reds, to soft pinks and nudes, there is a shade for everyone and any occasion. It was also really important for me that they were comfortable to wear. Whatever your outfit there is sure to be a shade to match!"

Check out a fabulous behind the short film of Kate for Rimmel singing with The Vaccines, dancing mostly in the nude and modeling in a photoshoot. For more images for the ad campaign and products, click through the images below.

Kate Moss Collaborates on Makeup Line With Rimmel London

Now that Kate Moss has moved on from designing clothing for Topshop and handbags for Longchamp, she's trying her hand at makeup.

Now that Kate Moss has moved on from designing clothing for Topshop and handbags for Longchamp, she's trying her hand at makeup. The 37-year-old supermodel has just designed a collection for Rimmel London in honour of her 10-year relationship with the brand. The range, which is expected to launch this Autumn, contains six lipsticks with her signature printed on the tubes, various shadows packaged in Union Jack casing, mascara, and a silver and black leopard and rhinestone case that's a free gift with purchase. A spokesperson for the company had this to say:

"Rimmel is very excited to announce our collaboration with our ambassador, Kate Moss, for a makeup range. Products and packaging are still in the final stages of production; the line is due to hit shelves in the UK in September. We plan to share more details of the launch over the coming months."

It's hard to believe that Kate has been a Rimmel model for 10 years now. I'd even say that she's practically qualified to design for it, as she's got tonnes of experience with its products under her belt.

Check out a few of Kate's adverts with the makeup moguls below, and let me know which photo you like most. Are you excited to see what the collection looks like?
