Britain's Next Top Model

I'm over the hills about the news that ex - The Hills and The City reality TV star, turned PR gal, turned fashion designer Whitney Port has just signed on to become one of the four judges on Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model! She and male model Tyson Beckford will replace Grace Woodward and Charley Speed and will team up with Elle Macpherson and Julien Macdonald on the judging panel. Rumour has it that Kelly Osbourne was the front-runner for the gig, but apparently, Whit won out. In a statement earlier this week she said,

"I am so excited to be joining Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model. I'm a huge fan of the show and am honoured to be in the company of the talented fellow judges and host, all fashion figures and designers I admire. As a designer and someone who loves fashion, this is a role I'm really looking forward to. Plus any chance to spend more time in the UK is an added bonus."

The next season of Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model will air on Sky Living this Summer. Will you be tuning in to watch Whitney, Tyson, Julien and Elle in action?

This weekend, I am going to be giving a talk at Britain's Next Top Model Live at ExCel in London. The event takes place from Friday to Sunday and includes the chance to hear from many experts. I will be doing two talks on celebrities in the world of fashion and the growing importance of the role that they play. These talks take place at 3pm and 6.30pm on Sunday at the Style Icons Workshop. I hope to see some of you there!

This evening, Britain's Next Top Model went live for the first time! The judging panel, which included Elle Macpherson and Julien Macdonald, were on stage throughout as the three finalists were put through their paces. After an hour and half of tension, Maltese model Tiffany Pisani was crowned the winner! Tiffany beat off competition from fellow finalists Alisha and Joy. A lot of people were nervous about the live final following the Australian slip up last week. Dave Berry, who was hosting in the UK, joked that he was glad to have said the right name! Are you happy with the winner?

Another model was kicked out of the BNTM house this week becoming the tenth girl to be kicked off. Olivia Oldham Stevens was voted off by the judges this week and she's been speaking to Handbag about her experiences. Olivia had to take part in a shoot this week that involved a stunt jump. Another model hopeful was asked to leave Britain's Next Top Model this week. She was the eighth model to be evicted after failing to impress the judges for two weeks in a row. Nicola Wright says she felt too out of her comfort zone in her final show and wasn't surprised to be the one to go. This week's Britain's Next Top Model saw two girls say goodbye to their modeling dreams. Susan Loughnane and Harleen Nottay were both asked to leave in quick succession. Despite this, Harleen remains determined as she continues to attempt to break in to the industry. Hear from both girls in this short video below.

Another model was eliminated from Britain's Next Top Model this week after the girls faced a makeover. This week, it was Rachelle who was asked to leave after judges left her in the bottom two models.
