Sugar Editorial Picks

As a complement to Fresh's Sugar Acaí Age-Delay Body Cream is a brand-new magnificently scented sugar and citrus fruit Body Scrub (£32). Acaí, a Brazilian dark berry is packed with high concentrations of antioxidants, which we know helps fight off free radicals (those nasty cells that cause premature signs of ageing).
Blended with sugar crystals (I'm not ashamed to admit to doing a little taste test), the scrub is hydrating (from the fruit acids), moisturising (from the cupuaçu seed butter and jojoba oil) and as I mentioned earlier, the aroma is totally intoxicating (there's a hint of caramel and bergamot added to make your mouth water).

About a month ago, Bliss launched a delectably smelling three part Blood Orange + White Pepper Sugar collection of bath and body products. The range includes a silky Body Butter (£23), an invigorating Bath and Shower Gel (£16) and my favourite, a gritty Sugar Scrub (£28).
This ooey gooey exfoliator is both sweet and spicy.

I'm feeling very let down by the weather this month. So much for an Indian summer! If like mine, your skin is also looking reminiscent of our summer – a grey washout – then you'll be happy to hear about Spa Paradisa's latest line of products to bring some sunshine back into your life.

I'm still so excited about H&M's new organic skincare range. More details emerged today about the affordable eco friendly line that launches next week. It’s said to be aimed at the growing socially conscious tween market market, but I have a hunch it will be a hit across all generations.

No silly, Gok Wan isn't designing his own collection of boots, the British television presenter and stylist has recently launched his first ever beauty range for Boots (you know, the chemist chain) called Gorgeous by Gok. I've seen the goodies which have been broken down into seven regimes according to how much time (10, 15, 20 or 60 minutes) you have to pamper yourself. Not only are they pink and purple and fabulous, but they're available now at affordable prices, which makes them great gifts to stash away for the Christmas season.

Do you like the sweet smell of sugary treats in the morning? I can't think of a more perfect way to shower then with the scrumptious new Coconut Frosting skin care range that launched a few weeks ago from Philosophy. The three products included are a Salt Scrub (£20), a rich Body Butter (£17) and their signature 3-in-1 Shampoo, Body Wash and Bubble Bath (£14).

You don't want to cross Sir Alan Sugar or there'll be consequences. Aside from a proper tongue lashing via lawyers, Lush has used Sir Alan's face and name on their products and he's not happy about it. To be fair, Lush was used in one of the recent Apprentice episodes, so they saw this as an opportunity to capitalise.

Body scrubs, fragrances, creams, lip balms and even hair care products that contain honey are some of my all-time favourites. They're sweet, typically thick and almost always a bit gooey. I realise that you wouldn't necessarily correlate bee's best work with beauty products, but, as it turns out, honey contains good for you antioxidants and works to rejuvenate, soothe, cleanse and moisturise the skin.
