Alice Dellal is the queen of the undercut haircut where one side is shaven and the other is long. Typically we see her with either dark hair (or at least dark roots), but yesterday at the Fashion For Relief Haiti London 2010 Fashion Show, she arrived with hair that was perfectly dyed blonde from roots to ends. The show took place at Somerset House in Covent Garden where FabSugar UK and I will be spending the next few days at London Fashion Week.

At yesterday's Oscars luncheon in Los Angeles, Carey Mulligan surprised the crowd arriving on the red carpet with showstopping blonde hair. Just last month we saw her donning a rich, dark brown shade, and shortly before that it was red. I love a girl with a little bit of beauty courage, and not only is Carey proving to be a colour chameleon, but she's also edgy (and adorable) enough to sport a pixie cut.

Australian actress Isabel Lucas was seen last night at the Aussie Premiere of Daybreakers with ultra-dark hair. Just a few months earlier, she was spotted with totally bleach blonde hair at the Spike Scream Awards, and in July, she attended the Chanel Haute Couture Fashion Show with light brown hair highlighted with soft, natural looking honey-tones. She's a beautiful young lady that can clearly stand out in a crowd with any of these hair colours, but if you had to choose your favourite, which would it be?

X Factor finalist Stacey Solomon was spotted yesterday at the Toy Fair in London. She has slowly gone from brown hair with a touch of blonde highlights, to a super light shade within a few months. She almost reminds me of Heidi Pratt with her full head of voluminous extensions and pale colour.

Last night at the You Know You Want It book launch party in New York City, socialite, star of The City, and the gal who is rumoured to be the inspiration behind Blair Waldorf's Gossip Girl character, Olivia Palermo, arrived on the red carpet with her hair darker and tinted with a hint of red. We're used to seeing Olivia as a brunette with a few perfected honey-toned highlights, and for a stint of time, she was even a blonde. Out of these three hair colours, which do you think looks the most vibrant on Olivia?

Actress and reality TV star Denise Richards was spotted at several events over the weekend with newly lightened hair. I'm not sure if the Summer sun has oxidised her typically blonde mane, or if she's going for the beachy, bleach-blonde effect, but her hair is looking brighter, whiter and more monotone than ever before. Below we also see her pictured with highlights, lowlights and with her hair dyed in more of her natural and warm brunette colour.

Lindsay Lohan was so determined to get golden locks this week that she reportedly spent an impressive 11 hours in the Byron and Tracey Hair Salon in Beverly Hills. The actress looked nervous as her hair colour changed from her natural strawberry blonde tones. It is being implied that the change is for her upcoming film role in Dare To Love Me and Lindsay even suggested that she might have to cut it short too.

No, I'm not insinuating that Amy Winehouse is a coward, in fact, she's anything but a shrinking violet going to court yesterday in a fashionable Vivienne Westwood outfit to fight an assault claim against her. All I'm saying is that Amy's gone blonde! Typically, we see her hair dark and styled in an ultra-teased half up, half down bee-hive.

It has been reported, that 67 percent more British women are going blonde in an attempt to lift their spirits during this depressing economic darkness. It seems that although only ten percent of the population is naturally blonde, they feel that the lighter their hair, the lighter their mood. Celebrity hairstylist Andrew Barton says,
"I don't believe it is purely a coincidence that there's been a huge sales rise in blonde hair products during these tough financial times.
