Emerging designer William Tempest's show was something that I'd been looking forward to all week long. Last season was incredible, and this year was even better (but, I'll leave it to FabSugarUK to fill you in on his amazing clothing later). However, the beauty style is what I wanted to tell you about since the eye shadow creations are swoon worthy too!

All star makeup artist Rachel Wood really had her hands full backstage at the Ziad Ghanem show on Monday evening. Backstage was buzzing with four different types of makeup looks that included goth (dark lips, pale skin), showgirl (long lashes that were cut from feather boas), K.D. Lang (sexy androgyny) and rocker boy (clean face with smudged eyeliner and big hair).

The much anticipated David Koma fashion show took place on Friday evening in London. Everyone (including myself) was so excited to see what was going to come next from last season's Merit Award winner. If you don't know his name, I'll bet you're more familiar with his work than you realise, as he's the one that Cheryl Cole wore on an episode of The X Factor, and Beyonce wore one of his dresses to the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards.

There are only a handful of days left to go until Valentine's Day this Sunday. If you haven't gotten your significant someone, friends or family a gift yet, a beauty trinket always does the job. These gifts aren't crazy expensive, but they say I love you in a very special way.

I think girlfriends are the most fun to shop for because you can push it to the limit or just indulge her in some of the things that you'd love to borrow. That does sound selfish, but hey, that's what friends are for!
Take these Glitz, Glam & Glosses for example (£19.50).

What makes the Ones To Watch so show special is that different blossoming designers come together (it's much more economical) to showcase their latest creations. On Monday evening, Ada Zanditon, Dean Quin, Hermione de Paula and Marko Mitanowski brought down the house in four sections. The challenge for makeup artist Rachel Wood was to "come up with a neutral look that could be easily added to and changed for each designer."

During Fashion Week and especially in London, you see a lot of things. Some of the beauty looks are edgy and have that certain British je ne sais quoi, whilst other shows exhibit a and polished and safer style of hair and makeup that you might expect to see from the high fashion catwalks. However, at Vauxhall Fashion Scout, a location for up and coming designers on the cusp of hitting the big time BFC tents — anything goes!

On Monday evening, FabSugar UK and I made our way backstage at before the highly anticipated William Tempest Fashion Show. Lan Nguyen was there heading up the makeup team on behalf of Benefit Cosmetics, and Tim Furssedonn was the head hairstylist in charge for Toni & Guy. Tim took a few moments out of his busy schedule to explain the inspiration behind the look for the show and how he created the slick style.

On Friday afternoon, the buzz backstage at the Mattijis van Bergen show all about a creating a fun loving, sexy and Summery feel. Hair was pulled back and teased in the front to create a kind of frizzy, wind-blown effect, whilst makeup was controlled yet luminous using toned down metallics. My pal, the friendly makeup artist Rachel Wood said,
"Because the designer is using copper and bronze jewellery, I wanted to complement the look and accent the eyes with that same colour scheme.
